Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant

Develops and coordinates implementation of vocational rehabilitation programs: consults with members of local communities and personnel of rehabilitation facilities, such as sheltered workshops and skills training centers, to identify need for new programs or modification of existing programs. Collects and analyzes data to define problems and develops proposals for programs to provide needed services, utilizing knowledge of vocational rehabilitation theory and practice, program funding sources, and government regulations. Provides staff training, negotiates contracts for equipment and supplies, and performs related functions to implement program changes. Monitors program operations and recommends additional measures to ensure programs meet defined needs.

Teacher Vocational Training

Teaches vocational skills to disabled students. Confers with students, parents, school personnel, and other individuals to plan vocational training that meets needs, interests, and abilities of students. Instructs students in areas such as personal-social skills and work-related attitudes and behaviors. : Develops work opportunities that allow students to experience success in performing tasks of increasing difficulty and that teach work values, such as self-improvement, independence, dependability, productivity, and pride of workmanship. Conducts field trips to enable students to learn about job activities and to explore work environments. May teach academic skills to students. May instruct students in one or more vocational skills, such as woodworking, building maintenance, cosmetology, food preparation, gardening, sewing, or nurse aiding.

Instructor Vocational Training

Teaches vocational training subjects to students in public or private schools or in industrial plants. Organizes program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in trade, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology. Instructs students in subject areas, such as mathematics, science, drawing, use and maintenance of tools and equipment, codes or regulations related to trade, and safety precautions. May be required to have certification from State.: Plans and supervises work of students, individually or in small groups, in shop or laboratory. Tests and evaluates achievement of student in technical knowledge and trade skills. May be identified according to trade or theory taught or type of establishment in which training is conducted, such as plumbing, electronics, or dental assistance. May place students in job training. May teach students with disabilities.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

Provides rehabilitative counseling and vocational rehabilitative services designed to help disabled individuals achieve a productive role in the community and reach independent living goals.: Provides rehabilitative counseling and vocational rehabilitative services designed to help disabled individuals achieve a productive role in the community and reach independent living goals. Interviews and evaluates disabled individuals, and confers with medical and professional personnel to determine type and degree of disability, eligibility for service, and feasibility of vocational rehabilitation. Implements and coordinates services for vocational rehabilitation patients. Determines suitable job or business consistent with applicant's interests, aptitudes, and physical, mental, and emotional limitations. Assists rehabilitation patient with personal adjustment throughout rehabilitation program. Aids applicant in obtaining medical and social services during training. Advises clients about education and training opportunities, careers, and job-finding skills. Promotes and develops job openings and places qualified applicant in an appropriate employment setting. Monitors progress, satisfaction and concerns in employment. Communicates with employers, vocational funding agencies and other agencies. This position typically requires a Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling. Documents services delivered, prepares clinical summaries, and maintains reports and case histories. May talk with employers or co-workers about accommodations that benefit the disabled individual.

Point of Sale System Specialist

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Exclude 'Network and Computer Systems Administrators' (15-1071).

Foundation Development Specialist

Assists with foundation activities and coordinates special events for the solicitation of funds from special constituencies. Coordinates direct mail, personal solicitation, commemorative giving, and telethons. Typically requires a college degree and two years of special events or fundraising experience.: Coordinates preparation of support materials, program promotion, and report generation. Assists in the promotion of foundation giving programs by performing graphics and communications projects. Enlists volunteers to assist in fund solicitation activities. Coordinates the acknowledgement of gifts. Maintains records of solicitations and responses. Prepares reports and analyses.

Safety Specialist

Recognizes, evaluates, and controls safety and health hazards in the facility and works with internal departments to minimize occupational health and safety risks and manage compliance with applicable regulations. This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field and two years of safety experience in a health care environment. Certification as a First Responder may also be required.: Recognizes, evaluates, and controls safety and health hazards in the facility and works with internal departments to minimize occupational health and safety risks and manage compliance with applicable regulations. Conducts comprehensive safety and hygiene audits. Conducts accident investigations and works with departments to correct safety hazards and develop preventative procedures. Performs job hazard assessments and recommends measures to control exposures, including substitution of less hazardous materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), work practice changes, and engineering controls. Prepares and conducts training classes. Writes reports documenting observations, sampling results, and recommendations. Performs and documents radiation measurements related to medical treatment or diagnostic procedures involving radioisotopes. Determines conditions for patient isolation and release following criteria for specific procedures. Interacts with and advises medical personnel on radiation safety precautions involving patients undergoing certain treatments with radiopharmaceuticals. This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field and two years of safety experience in a health care environment. Certification as a First Responder may also be required. May conduct confidential patient and family interviews prior to administration of radioisotopes.
