e-Commerce Strategy Director

Develops e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth and meet the organization's overall business goals. Develops Internet/extranet strategies, coordinates effort across all IT functions, and provides ongoing management of e-commerce activities. Creates and maintains alignment with e-commerce business and technology planning and architecture processes. Ensures integration of strategic planning processes across e-commerce, business units, and technology.: Drives business decisions around e-commerce website designs and implementations. Recommends and participates in the implementation of improvements to e-commerce websites. Collaborates with leaders in Marketing, Office Operations, and other areas of the business to develop an e-commerce evolution strategy and business/IS roadmap. Ensures project documentation is developed and maintained, including function point analysis/project estimations, project plans, issues lists, risk registers, and impact analysis. Develops business requirements and functional specifications with the assistance of business analysts and/or project leaders, or guides others to ensure these specifications are developed. Report status formally to project sponsors and stakeholders on a regular basis. Updates business/IS roadmaps as needed. Serves as subject matter expert for business processes facilitated by the e-commerce applications. Manages, develops, and evaluates direct reports as assigned. May manage the analysis and selection of vended software products that support the e-commerce strategy.

e-Commerce Strategy Manager

Manages new online initiatives and channels to profitably maximize the growth of online sales and meet the organization's overall business goals. Develops Internet/extranet strategies and coordinates effort across all IT functions. Manages all functions of the e-commerce site including, but not limited to, performance, customer evaluations, e-mail marketing campaigns, pricing, and payments.: Recommends, develops, and implements strategies to drive online sales via affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click, and/or other marketing initiatives. Manages the daily maintenance of websites ensuring content is dynamic, interesting, and up-to-date. Collaborates with others to resolve technical issues and make updates and improvements to the website. Develops customer service policies and procedures to ensure consistent and outstanding user experiences. Develops and implements online marketing and e-mail campaigns that build awareness of the company brand, drive customer loyalty, generate traffic to the website, and achieve targeted ROI. Creates and maintains brand awareness and recognition programs. Establishes benchmarks to measure success and ROI. Analyzes online marketing, e-mail marketing, and website user behavior to recommend improvements to site performance, marketing programs, and customer experiences. Trains and coaches internal staff to assist with content management. Manages, develops, and evaluates direct reports as assigned. May identify and negotiate contracts and rates for external resources and partnerships to support the development of online systems.

Handles a variety of complex situations involving the clerical or administrative function of the office that often cannot be brought to the attention of the executive. Uses considerable judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations. : Interprets and adapts guidelines, including unwritten policies, precedents, and practices, that are not always completely applicable to changing situations. Anticipates and prepares materials needed by the executive for conferences, correspondence, appointments, meetings, telephone calls, etc. Reads publications, regulations, and directives and take action or refers those that are important to executive and staff. Notes commitments made by executive or staff during meetings and arranges for implementation or staff follow up. Prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources. Assists executive administrative details, usually of a confidential nature. Schedules appointments, takes and transcribes notes and dictation, for executive. Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by employer. Composes letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction, or from knowledge of company policy or procedures. Composes and types routine correspondence and files correspondence and other records. Answers telephone, gives information to callers, routes call to appropriate person, and places outgoing calls. Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and directs visitors to employer or appropriate person.
