Operates test equipment and performs analysis of data for engineering and scientific personnel. Sets up and positions camera for photographing material or subject. Trips shutter to expose film. May install and calibrate optical and photographic data collection equipment. May prepare microscope slides. May make photographic copies of fragile documents and other material. May evaluate adequacy of data obtained to determine need for future changes in instrumentation. May engage in research to develop new photographic procedures, methods, and materials. May process film and photographic paper to produce transparencies, prints, slides, and motion picture film.

Photographs infants and children in a studio or at a requested site, using still, video, or digital cameras, color or black and white film, and a variety of photographic accessories. Uses extensive range of technical equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting, printers, and editing software.: Selects and assembles equipment, props, and backdrops according to subject materials, anticipated conditions, and knowledge of function and limitations of various types of cameras, lenses, filters, films, and accessories. Views children and setting and plans composition, camera position, and camera angle to produce desired effect. Arranges subject materials and/or poses subjects to take candid photographs. Communicates with management or client to understand what they want or need. Communicates with children, putting them at ease, encouraging them, and directing them. Estimates or measures light level, using light meter, or creates artificial lighting with flash units, lights, and lighting equipment. Adjusts lens aperture and shutter speed based on combination of factors, such as lighting, depth of field, subject motion, and film speed. Determines subject-to-lens distance, using tape measure, range finder, ground glass, or reflex viewing system to adjust focus. Positions camera and trips shutter to expose the light recording material, such as film or digital memory card, to the required amount of light to form a latent image on film or raw file in digital cameras. Assures that cameras and equipment are kept in good working condition. Edits photos as required or requested using editing software to enhance images, change emphasis, crop pictures, move objects, etc. Understands traditional film and digital photography and keeps abreast of industry trends, developments, and new techniques. May mix chemicals, process film and photographic paper, and make contact and enlarged prints. May spot and retouch prints, negatives, and digital images.

Technician Studio

Operates console to regulate volume level and quality of sound during filming of motion picture, recording session, or television and radio productions. Typically requires a four-year college degree in a related or appropriate field; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Determines acoustics of recording studio and adjusts controls to specified levels. Directs installation of microphones and amplifiers for use in sound pickup. Turns knobs and dials on console while recording to cut microphones in and out, and to blend output of individual microphones to obtain balance between music, dialog, and sound effects. Instructs performers to project voices for pickup by microphones. Copies and edits recordings, using recording and editing equipment. May add sound effects. May test machines and equipment, using electronic testing equipment, such as ohm and voltage meters, to detect defects. May repair and replace audio amplifier parts.

Recording Studio Setup Worker

Arranges sound recording equipment in studio preparatory to recording session following work order specifications: reads work order to determine position of equipment and arranges equipment, such as consoles, isolation booths, microphones, tape machines, amplifiers, music stands, and musical instruments, by hand or using handtrucks and dollies. Connects equipment electrical lines to outlets according to oral or written instructions. Dismantles equipment subsequent to recording session and returns items to storage. Maintains storage area and assists in maintaining tape library.

Focuses lens, adjusts lights, and exposes film to copy for specified period of time. Immerses film in series of chemical baths to develop image on film or mounts film in machine that automatically develops film. Hangs developed film on rack to dry.

Assists with product knowledge training to store personnel with the intention of allowing them to better drive sales to the end user. Provides excellent customer service on a daily basis to visiting consumers as they patrol the aisles and inquire about seasonal product(s). Provides daily feedback to the Market Sales Coordinator and District Manager regarding consumer response, retailer response, and business objectives to assist with target goals and objectives.
