Child Care Center Director (Hospital run)

Oversees and directs the daily operations of a Child Care Center that is operated by a hospital system. Directs and supervises the work of staff in providing for the care and needs of children. Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and five or more years of child care management experience.: Ensures that the Child Care Center meets all licensing regulations required for the care of children. Remains prepared for visits by the licensing consultant for licensing renewal. Manages day care billing and the maintenance of account records. Collects and reconciles program tuition, collects monies for food service, and deposits according to guidelines. Creates and updates a parent handbook and operations procedures manual. Maintains enrollment records and daily attendance records of children and staff. Prepares and implements developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Maintains regular communications with parents and develops programs responsive to parental needs and interests. Responsible for the safety of children in daily center activities and for field trips, if any. Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements for the Child Care Center. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.

Outpatient Surgery Center Head

Directs, administers, and coordinates activities and operations of a major comprehensive ambulatory care or outpatient surgery center(s) to provide professional quality of care.: Organizes and develops short- and long-term planning programs to ascertain facility requirements. Administers fiscal operations such as budget planning and establishing rates for services. Establishes and maintains a clean and safe environment within the operating room suite and patient areas. Monitors care of the operating room suite and equipment to ensure that sterile techniques are used, equipment functions properly, and items are properly positioned. Develops operating schedules for the operating room suite and ensures proper levels of staffing of professional personnel during surgical procedures and post-anesthesia recovery. Monitors the preparation of patients for surgery and immediate post-operative care. Assists in establishing policies and procedures related to pre-operative, operative, and post-operative nursing functions. Oversees ordering of drugs, materials, supplies, solutions, and equipment needed for successful functioning. Ensures timeliness of surgical procedures by providing and controlling material, staffing, supplies, and equipment needed for procedures. Organizes and develops short- and long-term planning programs to ascertain requirements. Analyzes, implements programs, and evaluates the financial, operational and delivery aspects of outpatient surgery programs. Ensures compliance with all regulations and license requirements. Plans and manages capital needs for the surgery center. Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a field of health and a minimum of five years of related experience. This position is not a Medical Doctor.

Nurse Call Center Manager

Manages a nurse triage call center operation (that is typically open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to ensure provision of quality telephonic nursing services in support of a health plan.: Hires and develops a qualified staff of nurses that provide clinical assessments, health education and referrals to health plan members. Plans, implements and analyzes a quality assurance program. Develops and monitors a departmental budget. Collects and analyzes data in support of the department to illustrate the contribution in savings of the service provided. Facilitates software contracting and maintenance for triage protocol software. Requires a Registered Nurse with two or more years of supervisory experience. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is typically desired.

Cancer Center Director

Manages funding sources for specific cancer research projects and oversees, plans, and directs the operations of a cancer treatment center. Oversees procedures for submitting proposals to funding agencies. Establishes the mission and goals of the cancer care unit. This is an administrative management position and does not require licensure as a Medical Doctor. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a health care field with seven years of business management experience in a patient care facility.: Trains cancer care unit personnel in proposal submission and grant management skills. Monitors resources to achieve short- and long-term goals of the cancer unit. Plans and directs cancer center treatment operations to ensure facility performance and quality of care. Manages the cancer center staff and implements strategies relative to the improvement of cancer center care. Serves as a liaison between Physicians and affiliated health care management to coordinate effective treatment programs within the cancer center. Oversees hiring, developing, and managing a qualified management staff concerned with providing quality care to cancer patients. Prepares, manages, and monitors the departmental budget. Monitors effectiveness of management practices and productivity indicators using turnover rates, absenteeism, budget variance, patient, MD, and staff satisfaction surveys. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the facility. May administer research and teaching programs.

Formulates, develops, and executes the recruiting strategy and operation for an organization. Discusses long-range personnel needs with management to prepare and implement a recruitment program. May write and place advertisements for required positions.

Chief National Recruiting Executive

Call Center Nurse RN

Provides telephone triage to member of the health plan. Advises and instructs callers on proper health care after assessing the urgency of symptoms or complaints.: Answers telephone inquiries, assesses symptoms and provides assistance to members of the health plan in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. Provides clinical nursing evaluation and assessment and instructs callers to seek appropriate medical care. Notifies physician on call with pertinent medical information or if consultation is deemed necessary by nurse. Provides nursing referral to appropriate and available resources, including affiliated services, affiliated medical practice or community resource. Enters data into a computerized database and forwards facsimiles to appropriate health providers. Consults and facilitates after hours communication with physicians, nurses, hospital staff and outside agencies. Communicates with pharmacies and providers to refill medications or to clarify prescriptions. Typically requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse with two years of hospital or public health nursing experience. May provide health insurance eligibility, pharmacy benefits, provider information, and other information to callers.

Fitness Center Administrator

Plans budgets, arranges work schedules, supervises staff, supervises maintenance of equipment, and provides a safe fitness workout environment. Provides fitness center equipment orientations, exercise programs, nutritional advice, fitness challenges, and general wellness programs for all customers utilizing the facility. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology or physical education and CPR certification. May be required to possess first aid certification.: Communicates with program participants concerning guidelines for a proper exercise program and continued progress. Demonstrates and instructs clients on proper exercise techniques. Designs and implements fitness/wellness/stress reduction sessions. Provides exercise and fitness instruction. Maintains accurate participation reports. Prepares accident reports as required. Makes suggestions for future equipment purchases. May provide routine equipment maintenance.

Information Center Representative

Analyzes and troubleshoots computer support problems and applies understanding of computer software and hardware products and services to resolve problems of users. Receives telephone calls and e-mails from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software, programming languages, electronic mail, or operating systems. Ascertains from computer user the nature of problem, determines whether problem is caused by hardware such as modem, printer, cables, or telephone, formulates diagnosis, and assists users through problem solving steps. Organizations usually prefer two years of postsecondary training in field of specialty; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Talks with co-workers to research problem and find solution. Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work. Writes software and hardware evaluation and recommendation for management review. Writes or revises user-training manuals and procedures. Develops training materials, such as exercises and visual displays. Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom, or recommends outside contractors to provide training.
