Manages and oversees the construction of retail stores in an assigned region. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools and equipment and various building methods.: Visits construction sites. Retail Store Director

Directs operating and selling services, such as clothing, groceries, and electronics, in retail stores. Provides leadership and direction in store operations by articulating the company’s strategic plan, initiates and executes actions to drive and accomplish the strategic plan, and delegates responsibilities to implement training methods and merchandising techniques that will achieve all company objectives. Promotes and accomplishes sales objectives through proper merchandising techniques and training of managers and associates to make the store operations more efficient in order to meet changing customer requirements and the company’s business plans. Develops and administers a fiscal plan to effectively meet customer requirements while at the same time controlling expenses, achieving budgeted labor goals, and maximizing profits.: Identifies areas needing improvement and develops programs and methods to cultivate customer goodwill and positive staff interaction, and promotes teamwork and high moral. Conducts timely store meetings to discuss goals, accomplishments, and changes. Oversees and ensures the proper use and maintenance of all physical facilities and store equipment, oversees management of the stock, and controls how company assets are utilized. Promotes awareness of loss prevention and security issues so as to protect company assets. Controls expenditures for items, such as remodeling and repairing of building, upkeep of elevators and air-conditioning systems, and repairing electrical systems. Keeps aware of and complies with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing the operation of the store. Keeps department managers and others in the store abreast of all legal requirements. Acts as spokesperson on issues with the community and enhances community relations by being involved in community events and organizations. Directs and maintains company safety, fire, and sanitation programs to ensure for the safety and well being of all customers and employees. Communicates important safety information, investigates complaints, and performs physical inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, sanitation requirements, and other company standards. Supports and executes all company programs to achieve profit objectives, ensures that company policies are communicated to and understood by all employees, vendors, and suppliers, and monitors for compliance.

Store Systems Manager
