Nursing Home Assistant Administrator

Supports the Administrator in the management of daily functions of the nursing home. Determines the effectiveness of operations and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Prepares staffing schedules to ensure that adequate numbers of appropriately trained professional and auxiliary personnel are on duty at all times to meet the needs of residents. Director Public Health Nursing

Administers nursing service in community health agency: coordinates and evaluates nursing activities in agency to ensure balanced and adequate program, and to formulate progressive program designed to meet changing needs of community. Directs collection, analysis, and interpretation of statistics significant to program planning and budget preparation. Prepares and submits budget estimates for nursing activities. Participates in establishing programs for guidance and professional development of nursing staff, and in establishing personnel policies, qualifications, and salaries. Recruits, selects, and assigns personnel for nursing services. Plans nursing consulting services. Participates in community planning concerning health and social welfare problems. Consults with advisory committee in establishment of medical policies of community health agency.

Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse

Plans and provides acute dialysis patient care, related procedures, and treatments. Initiates, monitors, evaluates, and administers acute dialysis procedures and medications needed for the patient. Communicates and documents the necessary patient care plans.: Performs patient assessments, administers medications, and ensures the implementation of physician orders. Analyzes patient data including status of vascular accesses, lab work, and patient assessments and makes recommendations to the Physician. Develops short- and long-term treatment plans involving assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and education. Communicates with the Physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete age-specific care for the dialysis patient to achieve treatment outcomes in keeping with established patient care standards. Collaborates with a team of Nurses to plan and deliver dialysis treatments to patients and provide patient education.

Telemetry Registered Nurse

Provides nursing care to telemetry patients in assigned care unit or department. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate telemetry patient care.: Demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability and uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities. Performs focused interviews to identify specific patient’s needs. Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses. Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions. Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements. Monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff. Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, hospital or medical facility policies, and patient care outcome standard. Provides a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment. Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education. Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective and/or ineffective nursing interventions. Monitors safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment. Performs according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Registered Nurse

Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital, nursing home, infirmary, or similar health care facility. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Requires RN license.: Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines progress of patient. May rotate among various clinical services of institution, such as obstetrics, surgery, orthopedics, outpatient and admitting, pediatrics, psychiatry, and tuberculosis. May prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and hand items to Surgeon, Obstetrician, or other medical practitioner. May make beds, bathe, and feed patients. May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.

Medical Home Health Aide

Provides simple or uncomplicated patient care in caring for elderly, convalescent, or disabled people in patient's home.: Changes bed linens, washes and irons patient's laundry, and cleans patient's quarters. Purchases, prepares, and serves food for patient and other members of family, following special prescribed diets. Assists patients into and out of bed, automobile, or wheelchair, to lavatory, and up and down stairs. Assists patient to dress, bathe, and groom self. Massages patient and applies preparations and treatments, such as liniment or alcohol rubs and heat-lamp stimulation. Administers prescribed oral medications under written direction of physician or as directed by home care nurse. Accompanies ambulatory patients outside home, serving as guide, companion, and aide. Entertains patient, reads aloud, and plays cards or other games with patient. Performs variety of miscellaneous duties as requested, such as obtaining household supplies and running errands. May maintain records of services performed and of apparent condition of patient. May visit several households to provide daily health care to patients.
