Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of companies or public and private sector organizations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Include owners and managers who head small business establishments whose duties are primarily managerial. Exclude 'First-Line Supervisors/Managers of Retail Sales Workers' (41-1011) and workers in other small establishments.

Regional Sales Executive

Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of sales function for an assigned region in accordance with strategic objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan sales objectives, to develop sales policies, and to coordinate functions in the assigned region.: Evaluates the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Directs all sales personnel. Ensures that Regional Sales Managers and Representatives keep informed of changes in region that might affect product sales. Makes forecasts on anticipated market sales. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policies and assists in promoting sales. Directs preparation of reports. Formulates and recommends policies and programs. Interprets and enforces company policies and practices. Ensures the adequacy of training programs. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Regional Executive Director Health Plans

Directs the overall operation and provides executive leadership in a regional health plan.: This is the top regional executive and a principal organization leader in the health plan. Responsible for the profitability of the regional organization. Establishes strategic plans and guides implementation. Confers with executive management to plan operational objectives, to develop policies and procedures, to coordinate functions and operations between divisions, departments and satellite locations, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Directs and coordinates formulation of financial programs to provide funding for new or continuing operations and guides changes needed to reach financial goals. Represents the organization to major external authorities and constituencies. Plans and develops labor, and public relations policies designed to improve the organization's image and relations with patients, providers, employees, and the general public. Selects and evaluates performance of executive staff for compliance with established policies. An advanced degree in a field of health or business is typically required for this position.

Regional Finance Executive

Directs and coordinates the regional health system or hospital’s fiscal management to achieve its operational and strategic goals and initiatives in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.: Plans, organizes, and directs all activities related to financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting systems, controllership, patient financial services, reimbursement, external financing, and treasury and investment. Advises and educates management on financial matters that impact operations. Organizes and monitors revenue cycle functions of the regional hospital or health system. Directs and prepares financial analyses of operations for guidance of management. Reports and recommends financial policies and programs to top management. Plans and directs new operational procedures to obtain optimum efficiency and reduced costs. Directs receipt, disbursement, and expenditures of money or capital assets. Approves and signs documents effecting monetary transactions. Directs the activities concerned with safekeeping, control, and accounting for assets and securities. Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyzes opportunities for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other strategic alliances. Directs the preparation of reports which outline the region's financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and future operations. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance and may require certification as a Certified Public Accountant.

Regional Sales Manager Retail

Oversees operations of retail stores in assigned region. Manages the strategic direction of stores within the assigned region, within broad company objectives. Develops and implements short- and long-term marketing plans for sales growth. Typically this job oversees Zone or District Managers; the next level in the organization above this job is typically a Division Vice President or General Manager. Regional Director Behavioral Health

Responsible for administration, planning and management of a regional behavioral health program for the treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders.: Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for behavioral health services and programs for a specific region to ensure quality care to patients. Assists in the design, planning, promotion, execution and evaluation of behavioral health programs. Prepares budget and develop procedures for monitoring and justifying expenditures. Processes referrals, appointments, admission calls and program plans for patients. Provides case management services to patients and recommends appropriate treatment plan. Develops program objectives, identifies discrepancies, and implements recommendations. Coordinates work schedules for support staff. Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements for behavioral health services. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies. This position typically requires a Master's degree or PhD and seven years of experience in the field or in a related area. Certification may also be required.

Regional Director

Directs the administration, planning, and management activities of an organization in an assigned region. Assumes responsibility for achieving the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization within the region.: Develops operational plans in collaboration with the management team and other regional staff. Ensures that program, finance, sales, and other objectives are met. Implements and supports organization's programs and promotions to help generate new sales leads for optimum growth. Oversees all program revenue goals. Oversees expense goals by working with managers to manage payroll and general and administrative expenses. Assists in the design, planning, promotion, execution, and evaluation of regional programs, developing and implementing approved standards and guidelines. Develops program objectives, identifies discrepancies, and implements recommendations. Prepares budget for the region, and develops procedures for monitoring and justifying expenditures. Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures. Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports. Maintains current knowledge of competitors in the region. Ensures that the facilities meet standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security, and physical plant operations. Ensures compliance with organizational, State, and Federal policies, standards, and requirements. Hires, trains, motivates, directs, coaches, and evaluates all managers. May approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.

Regional Property Operations Manager

Manages commercial, industrial, or residential real estate properties within organization or for external clients. Discusses with client terms and conditions for providing management services, and drafts agreement stipulating extent and scope of management responsibilities, services to be performed, and costs for services. Prepares lease or rental agreements for lessees and collects specified rents and impounds. Usually required to have real estate broker's license and be certified in property management.: Directs bookkeeping functions, or credits client account for receipts and debits account for disbursements, such as mortgage, taxes, and insurance premium payments, management services costs, and upkeep and maintenance costs. Arranges for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of, property as specified in management services or lessee's agreement. Employs, or contracts for services of, security, maintenance, and groundskeeping personnel and on-site management personnel if required. Purchases supplies and equipment for use on leased properties. Directs preparation of financial statements and reports on status of properties, such as occupancy rates and dates of expiration of leases. Directs issuance of check for monies due client. May advise client relative to financing, purchasing, or selling property. May prepare periodic inventory of building contents and forward listing to owner for review. May contact utility companies to arrange for transfer of service for tenants. May assist with eviction of tenants in compliance with court order and directions from lawyer and owner.

Regional Account Manager

Manages the service or sale of certain accounts in a region, with duties entailing estimating and analyzing records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.: Participates in the development and implementation of sales strategy and objectives and assists in the overall management of sales in the region. Assistant Operations Manager

Assists in managing and coordinating organization, branch, plant, or department operation strategies and activities. Assists with the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals.: Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. Organizes resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services. Assists in giving work direction, resolving problems, preparing schedules, and setting deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices. Assists in ensuring adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization's policies and practices. Coordinates activities of department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy. Monitors and analyzes costs and prepares department budget. Prepares reports and records on department activities for management.
