Manages a major gifts program, to include identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift donors with an annual expectation of gift income productivity. Identifies potential major gift donors. Manages a portfolio of prospects and oversees a stewardship portfolio of current donors.: Maintains campaign files and donor records. Devises, recommends, and executes cultivation and solicitation strategies, including strategies to generate higher levels of giving. Writes effective solicitation appeals, acknowledgment letters, donor reports, and other materials for fundraising purposes. Collaborates with volunteers and staff as required. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates ongoing and special project funding programs for museum, zoo, public broadcasting station, or similar institution: prepares statement of planned activities and enlists support from members of institution staff and volunteer organizations. Develops public relations materials to enhance institution image and promote fund raising program. Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and supporters of institution ongoing operations through examination of past records, individual and corporate contracts, and knowledge of community. Plans and coordinates fund drives for special projects. Assigns responsibilities for personal solicitation to members of staff, volunteer organizations, and governing body according to special interests or capabilities. Organizes direct mail campaign to reach other potential contributors. Plans and coordinates benefit events, such as banquets, balls, or auctions. Organizes solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Informs potential contributors of special needs of institution, and encourages individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gifts-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with attorneys to establish methods of transferring funds to benefit both donors and institution. Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify other sources of funding for research, community service, or other projects.

Commanding Officer Radio Division Communications Officer

Directs and coordinates various activities of personnel engaged in installing and maintaining municipal emergency and business radio communications equipment, and in operating police, fire, or other municipal radio transmitters: ensures that government regulations concerning installation and operation of municipal radio stations are complied with. Participates in operation, testing, and development of all types of police, fire, or other municipal communication systems. Submits required reports to designated authorities concerning communications equipment status, such as nature of business transacted over radio station, character of radio repairs made or needed, and general condition of municipal communications system. Confers with municipal authorities for approval of major capital investments needed in establishing and maintaining system. Cooperates with fire, weather station, and civil defense authorities to originate or relay emergency messages. In communities where equipment is used primarily for police broadcasts, may be a police officer and be designated according to rank as radio-division captain; radio-division lieutenant.

Regional Sales Executive

Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of sales function for an assigned region in accordance with strategic objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan sales objectives, to develop sales policies, and to coordinate functions in the assigned region.: Evaluates the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Directs all sales personnel. Ensures that Regional Sales Managers and Representatives keep informed of changes in region that might affect product sales. Makes forecasts on anticipated market sales. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policies and assists in promoting sales. Directs preparation of reports. Formulates and recommends policies and programs. Interprets and enforces company policies and practices. Ensures the adequacy of training programs. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
