Medical Quality Assurance Coordinator

Interprets and implements quality assurance standards in clinical area or hospital to ensure quality care to patients. Ensures appropriate care is provided to patients. Reviews quality assurance standards, studies existing policies and procedures, and interviews personnel and patients to evaluate effectiveness of quality assurance program. May report to Quality Assurance Head Hospital or a similar high-level position. Position typically requires a bachelor's degree in the field of nursing.: Serves as a professional resource to nursing staff. Writes quality assurance policies and procedures. Selects specific topics for review, such as problem procedures, drugs, high volume cases, high risk cases, or other factors. Compiles statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing quality assurance findings. May review patient records, applying utilization review criteria, to determine need for admission and continued stay in hospital. May oversee personnel engaged in quality assurance review of medical records.

Automobile Club Safety Program Coordinator

Coordinates activities and gives information and advice regarding traffic-engineering and safety programs of automobile club: develops and revises automobile-club procedures regarding traffic-engineering and safety programs. Arranges for speakers to address gatherings to promote and explain traffic-engineering and safety programs. Schedules, monitors, and keeps records on program activities. Advises club members about traffic summonses and violations and contacts courts to expedite processing or clarify disposition of summonses. Answers questions and gives information to callers or visitors about traffic-engineering and safety programs of automobile club. Prepares reports about road or traffic-control conditions based on information received from club members or other staff members.

Recruiting Director

Formulates, develops, and executes the recruiting strategy and operation for an organization. Discusses long-range personnel needs with management to prepare and implement a recruitment program. Designs and directs in-house interview program. Builds the infrastructure to support the growth of the organization, including staff, systems, and appropriate recruiting metrics. Oversees recruiters who seek out, interview, screen, and recruit job applicants to fill professional, technical, and non-technical job openings. Projects annual recruitment expenditures for budgetary control. Analyzes budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budgets funds. May write and place advertisements for required positions.

Recruiting Specialist

Seeks out, interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants to fill existing company job openings: discusses personnel needs with department supervisors to prepare and implement recruitment program. Contacts colleges to arrange on-campus interviews. Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Interviews college applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements. Screens and refers qualified applicants to company hiring personnel for follow-up interview. Arranges travel and lodging for selected applicants at company expense. Performs reference and background checks on applicants. Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration. Files and maintains employment records for future references. Projects yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary control.

Quality Improvement Coordinator

Assists in the implementation of a quality improvement program within a health plan by performing medical record site and provider site reviews, compiling statistics, developing methodology, and assisting in the development of indicators for quality monitoring activities. Performs on-site audits of practitioners and medical records and gives feedback where changes or enhancements may be made. Performs on-site credentialing or recredentialing audits of practitioner applicants and sites. Typically requires a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with experience in direct patient care or in administration of health programs.: Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of areas identified for focused studies. Assists in the preparation of quality improvement reports. Assists in the evaluation of over-utilization and under-utilization of services. Provides assistance in preparation of the quality improvement portion of all surveys by external review organizations. Performs special clinical medical record reviews.

Home Health Aide Coordinator

Coordinates the schedules of aides engaged in caring for elderly, convalescent, or disabled people in a home environment. Adjusts work schedules to meet coverage needs.: Prepares and submits staffing reports on aide activities. Maintains record of reports. Verifies time sheets.

Medical DRG Coordinator

Reviews Medicare inpatients and assists medical staff and fiscal services to assure that a satisfactory system is maintained. Monitors the organization's potential financial risk for Medicare patients, and assesses the financial status of Medicare patients. Ensures the accurate selection of the primary diagnosis and procedure and any complicating or pre-existing conditions in accordance with Medicare definitions by reviewing Medicare inpatients' records. : Identifies cases that may qualify for outpatient status, and gathers data for appeals to the Medicare program. Ensures adequate system is maintained to guarantee appropriate Medicare reimbursement in order to maintain a high level of quality patient assistance while staying within the DRG System financial limits. Identifies trends and problem areas by reviewing facility and physician case-mix financial data.
