Medical Clinical Specialist

Interprets and implements quality assurance standards in clinical area or hospital to ensure quality care to patients. Ensures appropriate care is provided to patients. Reviews quality assurance standards, studies existing policies and procedures, and interviews personnel and patients to evaluate effectiveness of quality assurance program. May report to Quality Assurance Head Hospital or a similar high-level position. Position typically requires a bachelor's degree in the field of nursing.: Serves as a professional resource to nursing staff. Writes quality assurance policies and procedures. Selects specific topics for review, such as problem procedures, drugs, high volume cases, high risk cases, or other factors. May review patient records, applying utilization review criteria, to determine need for admission and continued stay in hospital. May oversee personnel engaged in quality assurance review of medical records.

Call Center Nurse RN

Provides telephone triage to member of the health plan. Advises and instructs callers on proper health care after assessing the urgency of symptoms or complaints.: Answers telephone inquiries, assesses symptoms and provides assistance to members of the health plan in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. Provides clinical nursing evaluation and assessment and instructs callers to seek appropriate medical care. Notifies physician on call with pertinent medical information or if consultation is deemed necessary by nurse. Provides nursing referral to appropriate and available resources, including affiliated services, affiliated medical practice or community resource. Enters data into a computerized database and forwards facsimiles to appropriate health providers. Consults and facilitates after hours communication with physicians, nurses, hospital staff and outside agencies. Communicates with pharmacies and providers to refill medications or to clarify prescriptions. Typically requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse with two years of hospital or public health nursing experience. May provide health insurance eligibility, pharmacy benefits, provider information, and other information to callers.

Infusion Therapist RN

Administers IV therapy and infusion treatments and educates patients and caregivers on IV procedures and care. Typically requires graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing with a bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of IV experience is usually required.: Supports the care team in the provision of patient and family care on an identified shift. Chooses and monitors venipuncture and/or catheter insertion sites. Has shift accountability for the assurance of appropriate staffing resources for the provision of quality patient care on an identified shift. Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Ensures that patient has necessary solutions and equipment.

Resident Care Coordinator RN

Coordinates the work of all disciplines involved in completing Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and resident care plans according to regulatory requirements and guidelines. Provides assistance to the Nursing Director by providing in-service to staff, assessing competencies, and evaluating nursing staff. Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of resident care and activities. Provides nursing care and ensures that nursing procedures are followed. Reviews resident care plans and conducts interdisciplinary care plan conferences. Typically requires completion of a nursing program at an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of three years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting working with MDS. A valid nursing license is required.: Ensures that medical supplies and equipment are maintained on each unit. Oversees documentation to comply with Medicare or state reimbursement rules. Monitors medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that they are properly administered. Interprets resident charts to accurately complete sections of the MDS. Performs quality improvement audits and assists in the implementation of quality assurance measures. Reviews resident charts for contradictions in information and researches any contradictions to determine what is valid. Reviews and investigates complaints and incident reports.

OB/GYN Clinical Nurse

Provides professional nursing care for patients in the obstetrical and gynecological departments. Performs total patient care in the labor room, delivery room, postpartum unit, and nursery. Requires RN license.: Administers prescribed medications. Maintains patients' medical records. Assists physician during treatments, examinations, and surgical procedures. Evaluates, plans, and documents the delivery room nursing process as needed.

Selects approach to use in individual therapy, such as directive, non-directive, and supportive therapy, and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy. May collaborate with Psychiatrist and other specialists in developing treatment programs for patients. May instruct and direct students serving psychological internships in hospitals and clinics. May develop experimental designs and conduct research in the fields of personality development and adjustment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. May serve as a consultant to industrial, social, educational, welfare, and other agencies on individual cases or in evaluation, planning, and development of mental health programs. May specialize in behavior problems and therapy, crime and delinquency, group therapy, individual diagnosis and therapy, mental deficiency, objective tests, projective techniques, or speech pathology.

Chemist Clinical

Conducts research to determine action of substances on tissues and vital processes of living organisms. Conducts research to determine action of foods, drugs, serums, hormones, and other substances on tissues and vital processes of living organisms. Isolates, analyzes, and identifies hormones, vitamins, allergens, minerals, and enzymes and determines effects on body functions. Examines chemical aspects of formation of antibodies, and conducts research into chemistry of cells and blood corpuscles. Studies chemistry of living processes, such as mechanisms of development of normal and abnormal cells, breathing and digestion, and of living energy changes, such as growth, aging, and death. May specialize in particular area or field of work. May clean, purify, refine, and otherwise prepare pharmaceutical compounds for commercial distribution and develop new drugs and medications.

Clinical Sociologist

Develops and implements corrective procedures to alleviate group dysfunctions: confers with individuals and groups to determine nature of group dysfunction. Observes group interaction and interviews group members to identify problems related to factors such as group organization, authority relationships, and role conflicts. Develops approaches to solution of group's problems, based on findings and incorporating sociological research and study in related disciplines. Develops intervention procedures, utilizing techniques such as interviews, consultations, role playing, and participant observation of group interaction, to facilitate resolution of group problems. Clinical Research Manager

Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of ongoing and new clinical research studies. Assists in all aspects of study design, implementation, and administration. Plans and organizes the daily operations of the Research Department, to include protocol and systems, budgeting, staffing, and grant/contract administration. Reports to the Chief Medical Officer. : Provides day-to-day technical leadership and administrative supervision to clinical and technical staff engaged in research. Ensures regulatory and scientific integrity of projects. Evaluates, monitors, and documents all study parameters. Provides initial contract review utilizing legal review and provides contract management. Forecasts product requirements for clinical trials. Organizes advisory and investigator meetings. Develops, implements, and evaluates specific research and data collection methodologies, protocols, systems, and techniques. Participates in experiment design. Develops quality standards and programs. Oversees budget review process and negotiations. Participates in staff hiring, provides training, allocates and coordinates work assignments, and evaluates performance of staff.
