Quality Assurance Auditor

Verifies that company's quality system is established, implemented, and maintained in compliance with applicable government regulations and other industry standards, along with auditing of critical suppliers to the company. Plans, performs, reports, and follows up on audits of internal operations to ensure procedural, standards, and regulatory compliance.: Identifies, investigates, and reports nonconformances related to processes or products. Supports Quality Assurance Coordinator and management with the handling of adverse event reporting, actions, and recalls, which may include database and file controls, investigation, reporting, regulatory notification, customer interface, corrective action, follow up, and closure. Assists in trend analysis of test data, nonconformances, complaints, and production releases/reworks/rejects. Provides reports of audits, trend analysis, nonconformances, complaints, etc., to management for inclusion in decision-making processes. Composes and revises Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures, specifications, validation procedures, work instructions, and forms as needed. Assists other departments with procedure controls as requested. Represents company on matters of quality with QA personnel, other departments within the company, procurement agencies, and suppliers of goods and services used in organization.

Quality Assurance Chief Executive

Plans, develops, and implements policies and establishes objectives of all the organization's quality control functions in accordance with organization's objectives. Confers with organization officials to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, and to coordinate functions. Directs activities related to quality control including strategies, staffing, scheduling, coordinating, quality assurance standards, and planning. Ensures all areas of organization meet or exceed quality assurance standards. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Directs assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Oversees preparation and control of departmental annual budget. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. May plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up performance against estimates.

Director Quality Assurance

Develops, implements, and coordinates, through support staff and lower echelon managers, product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Typically reports to Quality Control Top Officer and Quality Assurance Manager reports to this position. NOTE--For hospitals, please see Quality Assurance Head Hospitals.: Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors, such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team. Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities. Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals. Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product designs to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program, according to and consistent with company goals and policies. Evaluates contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program. Conducts management meetings with product design department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures. Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards. Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems. Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.

Quality Assurance Director

Utilization Review/Quality Assurance Director

Serves as an information coordinator for the hospital-wide quality assurance program. Directs development of monitors, including generic screens, to assess the quality of care provided to patients.: Supports the overall quality assurance reporting system to assure that information is being channeled to appropriate oversight committees. Provides consultation to health care providers as needed to facilitate problem-focused studies of patient care, which may include advice and support for clinical/legal implications of quality issues. May assume Risk Management responsibilities. May supervise several employees.

Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality and reliability. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. May investigate customer complaints regarding quality and make appropriate adjustments.
