Production Planning Director

Directs preparation of production work schedules in various sections of manufacturing. Organizes and coordinates various sections of manufacturing. Directs planning and establishing of production schedules and follows up performance against estimates. Production Planning & Control Manager

Manages work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Organizes and coordinates various sections of manufacturing. Plans and establishes production schedules and follows up performance against estimates. Typically reports to the Production Planning Director, and Production Planning and Control Supervisors report to this position.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Manages assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Prepares and controls departmental annual budget. Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.

Production Planning & Control Supervisor

Supervises work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Organizes and coordinates various sections of manufacturing. Assists in planning and establishing production schedules and following up performance against estimates. This position typically reports to a Production Planning and Control Manager and is the first level of supervision.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Approves process specification and design standards. Supervises assembly of cost control and statistical data. Supervises development of material selection standards. Assists in preparation and control of departmental annual budget. Assists in administration of personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.

User Support Analyst Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in interpreting problems, providing assistance, problem-solving support, and advising computer user related to hardware, software, and systems. Assists User Support Analyst in solving non-routine software, hardware, and procedure problems. Typically requires a four-year college degree in field of specialty. Typically reports to manager level in the organization.: Talks with staff, computer users, supervisors, and managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware. Writes recommendations for management review. Coordinates installation of hardware and software, and implementation of procedure changes. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status or work activities. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Methods & Procedures Analyst

Recommends revision of methods of operation, policies and procedures, forms, reports, material handling, alterations in equipment or office layout, simplification, computer systems, or other changes to increase production or improve standards. Makes recommendations concerning organizational structure to avoid duplication or overlapping functions. Requires a bachelor's degree in a closely-related field. Excludes paraprofessional positions.: Implements new methods and procedures, which may involve training employees on changes. Develops recommendations concerning which equipment and business machines should be purchased. Aids in planning work assignments in accordance with employee performance, capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays. Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and utilization. Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other employee operations to establish standard production rate and to improve efficiency. Observes employee performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate. May use stop watch, video camera, electrical recorder, and similar equipment.

HRIS Analyst

Analyzes, tests, and implements HRIS computer system modules including, but not limited to, human resources, compensation, payroll, benefits, etc. Maintains integrity and accuracy of database. Investigates programs to process data and solve human resources problems by use of computers--computer systems support may be mainframe, mini, and/or personal computers. Typically requires a four-year college degree in field of specialty; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Meets with users to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement programs to meet special and on-going needs of human resources information. Meets with users to develop, maintain, produce, and distribute standard and custom reports and queries. Acts as liaison with managerial and systems analysis personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming involved. Analyzes test runs on computer to correct coded program and input data. Revises existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. Collaborates with computer manufacturers, software vendors, and other users to ensure support in meeting the human resources objectives. May recommend software or computer equipment to meet the needs of the human resources unit or the users of the human resources information. May enter test data into computer.

Organization Analyst

Analyzes organizational structure, responsibilities, teamwork, capabilities of incumbents, business or operating procedures, reporting relationships, processes, and work flow to devise most efficient methods of accomplishing work. Plans study of work problems and internal disconnects and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, quality control, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis. Gathers and organizes information on problem or processes including present operating processes. : Analyzes data gathered, develops information, and considers all available solutions or alternate methods of proceeding. Organizes and documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Confers with personnel concerned to assure smooth functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. May also participate in manpower planning and succession planning. May install new systems and train personnel in application and team building. May conduct operational effectiveness reviews to ensure functional or project systems are applied as designed and functioning satisfactorily. May develop or update functional or operating manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.

Production Planner

Plans and prepares production schedules for business unit or organization. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.: Translates orders into a sequential work schedule. Analyzes production specifications and capacity data, and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times. Plans sequence of operations. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Expedites operations that delay schedules, and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports. May prepare lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools, and equipment.

Production Engineer

Plans and coordinates production procedures in industrial plant. This position is a specialty in the field of industrial engineering as the position's primary focus is on increasing efficiencies of production units, as compared to the more general focus of industrial engineers on increased performance through management of people, organizational structure, information systems, etc. Excludes paraprofessional positions.: Directs production departments. Regulates and coordinates functions of office and shop. Introduces efficient production line methods. Initiates and directs procedures to increase company output.

Insurance Research Analyst

Evaluates insurance industry developments to update company products and procedures. Reviews industry publications and monitors pending legislation and regulations to determine impact of new developments on company insurance products. : Consults with designated company personnel to disseminate information necessitating changes in language or provisions of insurance contracts, and assists in preparation of documents or directives needed to implement changes. Corresponds or consults with agents, brokers, and other interested people to determine feasibility and marketability of new products to meet competition and increase sales. Develops procedures and materials for introduction and administration of new products, and submits package for review by company personnel and regulatory bodies. May recommend lobbying activities to management. May direct or coordinate activities of other workers. May specialize in analyzing developments in group insurance operations.
