Organizes and oversees the daily activities of the Pharmacy Department, including staff work schedules and resource allocation. Pharmacy Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department in the areas of staff supervision, maintenance of clinical programs, effective intra- and inter-departmental communication, workload assignment, and proper allocation of pharmacy resources to deliver quality patient care. Assists the Pharmacy Manager with planning and directing the activities of the Pharmacy Department in addition to performing all the duties of a Pharmacist. : Monitors daily operations to ensure achievement of department quality and service objectives. Assists in the department planning and management of appropriate staffing levels, work flow, and problem resolution. Coordinates work plans and activities with department supervisors and manager. Assures the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products and completion of the department's clinical function. Participates in the quality improvement process. Ensures that patient therapy is consistent with current medical practice, FDA and drug manufacturers' recommendations, current literature, and/or other information sources. Assists in the implementation, management, and maintenance of pharmacy-related software products. Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency and operation, and data integrity. Assists in the interviewing, selection, coaching, development, and training of department staff.

Pharmacy Associate

Assists Pharmacists in filling orders, checking prices, and stocking shelves in a retail pharmacy establishment. Serves customers at a pharmacy counter and processes purchases. Typically requires on-the-job training.: Takes customer orders, delivers customer orders, computes charges, handles payment, and enters data in computer. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports and completes forms as directed. May instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy or teach in college of pharmacy.

Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.: Receives and stores incoming supplies. Purchaser Automotive Parts

Purchases, stores, and issues spare parts for motor vehicles or industrial equipment: obtains purchase order number from purchasing department and assigns identifying number. Reads shop manuals to ascertain type and specification of part. Visits, telephones, telegraphs, or contacts vendors by mail to order parts. Compares invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received. Stores purchased parts in storeroom bins and issues parts to workers upon request. Keeps records of parts received and issued, and inventories parts in storeroom periodically. May record repair time expended by mechanics. May requisition parts from central parts department for national organization.

Provides executive leadership for operations, growth, and financial performance of pharmacy operations.: Responsible for the planning, supervision and successful execution of all activities related to the pharmacy's operations to ensure accuracy in the dispensing of products and information. Develops and implements operational efficiencies throughout the pharmacy. This position is responsible for all pharmacy practice and regulatory issues of the pharmacy to include compliance with regulatory issues, corporate policies, standards and operating procedures. Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates outcomes of the pharmacy department’s strategic plans. Performs regular data analysis of pharmacy data and pharmaceutical cost reports to identify variances and root causes so that areas of focus may be identified and resources may be appropriately deployed. Prepares and manages the departmental budget. Hires, develops and motivates a qualified pharmacy department staff. May be responsible for sales and marketing of pharmacy services. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, a Pharm.D., a Pharmacist license, six years of pharmacy experience, and strong clinical decision-making skills.
