Pharmacy Intern

Under strict supervision and in accordance with established procedures, dispenses and compounds prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, according to professional standards and state and federal regulatory requirements.: In accordance with established procedures, reviews and monitors medication therapy and orders written by appropriate caregivers for safety and effectiveness considering specific patient conditions and health status. Prepares, labels and dispenses medications for patients in accordance with physicians' prescriptions and in compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and the maintenance of required records. Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Maintains appropriate records of dispensing and oversees and maintains the systems that charge or credit for medications and medication treatments. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Provides drug information and educates caregivers and patients regarding medications and their proper use and monitoring. Ensures that proper documentation is completed for all medications, with particular attention on controlled substances. Maintains all equipment and systems used in the preparation, oversight and dispensing of medications. Ensures that appropriate medications are available, ordered, prepared, stored and maintained. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and acceptance within an accredited internship program. May analyze medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.

Pharmacy Resident

Certified Pharmacy Technician

Assists the pharmacist in dispensing, delivery and retrieval of medications. May assist Pharmacist in hospital, clinic, home care, long-term care, mail order, managed care or retail pharmacy performing a variety of duties. This position may also be found in research, education and the pharmaceutical industry.: Receives and screens prescription medication orders for completeness and accuracy. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations using proper aseptic techniques, fills bottles or other container with prescribed medications, and types labels for bottles, using proper packaging techniques. Collects, organizes and evaluates information to assist pharmacists in serving patients. Prepares and distributes medications in a variety of health system settings. Provides drug information and education, as needed. Receives and stores incoming supplies and assists in stocking shelves, checking prices and maintaining inventory. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. Collects payment or initiates billing for pharmacy services and goods. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports, and completes forms as directed. This position typically requires completion of a pharmacy technician training program and current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Pharmacy Director

Directs, oversees, and coordinates activities of employees engaged in compounding, mixing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, according to professional standards and State and Federal legal requirements. Selects vendors and authorizes purchase of pharmaceutical items. Provides consultative advice to nursing and medical staffs. : Answers questions and provides information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc. Analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budget funds. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations. Furnishes budget and department reports for hospital administrators. Recommends and informs medical personnel of drug applications and characteristics. May recruit, hire, evaluate employee performance, and recommend disciplinary action. May instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy or teach in college of pharmacy.

Pharmacy Assistant

Assists Pharmacist in hospital pharmacy or retail establishment, performing a variety duties. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.: Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to hospital patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer. Prepares intravenous (IV) packs, using sterile technique, under supervision of hospital pharmacist. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports, and completes forms as directed. Assists in stocking shelves, checking prices, and maintaining inventory.

Medical Director Pharmacy

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. Clinical Systems Specialist

Develops and identifies solutions for database systems and plans their implementation. Technical Specialist Aircraft Systems

Advises and trains customer or other personnel in operation, overhaul, and maintenance of company aircraft, applying knowledge of aircraft systems, company specifications, and federal aviation administration inspection procedures and specifications: conducts investigations to determine source of technical problems. Evaluates results of investigations and recommends corrective action to customer and manufacturing plant. Trains customer or other personnel in operation, overhaul, and maintenance of aircraft. May oversee mechanical and structural repairs. May compile technical data pertaining to changes and improvements. May be required to work in field at permanent station. May be required to be licensed by federal aviation administration in job occurring in air transportation.
