Pharmacy Manager

Organizes and oversees the daily activities of the Pharmacy Department, including staff work schedules and resource allocation. Manages and directs the pharmacy processes and activities of personnel to ensure the efficient and timely dispensing of medications to clients and compliance with all relevant laws. : Ensures that the department complies with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. Technician Pharmacy

Assists Pharmacist in hospital pharmacy or retail establishment, performing a variety duties. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.: Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to hospital patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer. Prepares intravenous (IV) packs, using sterile technique, under supervision of hospital pharmacist. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports, and completes forms as directed. Assists in stocking shelves, checking prices, and maintaining inventory.

Purchases materials or other goods and/or coordinates activities involved with procuring products and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for establishment. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and identify an appropriate corrective action. May approve invoices for payment. May automate invoicing and purchasing procedures. May transfer drugs between pharmacies

Purchase Price Analyst

Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives for contract transactions: compiles information from periodicals, catalogs, and other sources to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Obtains data for cost analysis studies by determining manufacturing costs within divisions of company. Confers with vendors and analyzes vendor's operations to determine factors that affect prices. Prepares reports, charts, and graphs of findings. Evaluates findings and makes recommendations to purchasing personnel regarding feasibility of manufacturing or buying needed products. May recommend use of alternative parts, materials, or manufacturing methods to reduce costs.
