Personal Computer Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of PC specialists and related staff. Responsible for providing support, technical assistance, and/or training to all end users and company locations on personal computer hardware and software. Supervises the installation, modification, minor repairs to personal computer hardware, and technical support and training on software systems. Most companies prefer at least a two-year degree, plus excellent working knowledge of personal computers and peripherals is required; however, some organizations may accept equivalent education and experience combined. Is required to be adept in activities of PC specialists.: Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. Attends technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new software and hardware product developments. Studies schedules and estimates time, cost, and labor estimates for completion of job assignments. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status or work activities. Analyzes department budget to identify budget increases and/or reductions. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations. Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction. Examples of activities supervised include, but are not limited to, loading specified software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer; instructing users in use of equipment, software, and manuals; answering client's inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation; diagnosing system hardware, software, and operator problems; and recommending or performing minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Analyst Personal Computer

Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users. Answers client's inquiries concerning systems operation; diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems; and recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation. There are no specific educational requirements, but excellent working knowledge of personal computers and peripherals is required.: Inspects personal computer equipment and reads order sheet listing user requirements to prepare computer for delivery. Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises, following design or installation specifications. Loads specified software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer. Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation. Instructs user in use of equipment, software, and manuals. Replaces defective or inadequate software packages. Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction. Attends technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new software and hardware product developments.

Personal Computer Specialist

Personal Lines Underwriter

Reviews individual applications for insurance to evaluate degree of risk involved and accepts applications, following company's underwriting policies. Examines such documents as application form, inspection report, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine degree of risk from such factors as applicant's financial standing, age, occupation, accident experience, and value and condition of real property. : Reviews company records to ascertain amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks, and evaluates possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance. Declines risks that are too excessive to obligate company. Dictates correspondence for field representatives, medical personnel, and other insurance or inspection companies to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company's underwriting policies. When risk is excessive, authorizes reinsurance, or when risk is substandard, limits company's obligation by decreasing value of policy, specifying applicable endorsements, or applying rating to ensure safe and profitable distribution of risks, using rate books, tables, code books, and other reference material. Typically workers who underwrite one type of insurance do not underwrite others and are designated according to type of insurance underwritten.

Personal Banker

Provides individualized customer service to banking patrons, including financial planning, loan processing, and other services. This position has more responsibilities than the customer service representative and is less specialized than a financial sales representative. This position typically requires two years of directly related training and/or experience.: Sets up various types of new accounts and provides customer services on existing accounts. Evaluates and authorizes overdrafts and checks for cashing. Provides financial planning services to banking customers, including investment, estate, and retirement planning. Assists loan applicants by explaining products, interest rates, and terms of mortgage or installment loans. Processes loan documentation by analyzing financial and credit information, and transmits crucial information to underwriting for verification and booking. Performs and schedules loan closings. Assists co-workers in analyzing and evaluating credit information on loan applications. Sells and cross-sells full range of banking products to new and existing customers. Contributes to business development program by performing duties attached to assigned accounts. Possesses thorough familiarity with products and services available to bank customers.

Personal Financial Representative

Develops and implements financial plans for individuals, businesses, and organizations, utilizing knowledge of tax and investment strategies, securities, insurance, pension plans, and real estate: interviews client to determine client's assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives. Analyzes client's financial status, develops financial plan based on analysis of data, and discusses financial options with client. Prepares and submits documents to implement plan selected by client. Maintains contact with client to revise plan based on modified needs of client or changes in investment market. May refer client to other establishments to obtain services outlined in financial plan. May sell insurance to client, recommending amount and type of coverage sales agent, insurance. May buy and sell stocks and bonds for client registered representative. May rent, buy, and sell property for client sales agent, real estate. May be registered with professional self-regulatory association and be designated certified financial planner.

Banker Personal

Performs personal services to employer in private household. Brushes, cleans, presses, and mends employer's clothing. Lays out employer's clothing, and assists employer to dress. Packs clothing for travel. Cleans employer's quarters. Prepares bath. Purchases clothing and accessories. Answers telephone. Drives car to perform errands.: Mixes and services drinks. May prepare and serve refreshments. May shampoo and groom employer's hair, shave face, manicure nails, give body or facial massages, or apply cosmetics for employer. May change linens, and make employer's bed.
