Data Architect

Defines, designs, and builds relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data. Confers with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases. Reviews current data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. : Generates data acquisition and archive recovery strategies. Works with Database Administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into test and production environments. Integrates new data with existing warehouse structure and continuously improves system functionality. Evaluates and recommends new tools and methodologies. Consults with vendors to integrate selected packages. Deletes old data. Develops and maintains all standards in accordance with data structures and models. May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts.

Java Architect

Leads, develops, and facilitates the application process by providing advice relating to the use of application framework, system and application design, coding and design standards, best practices, and system performance and availability, building java-based software solutions to meet client needs. Develops and presents system architectures and strategies for assigned projects. Researches, designs, and writes software to specifications, either individually or leading a team of other architects. Provides technical and architectural guidance to the architectural team in areas of both design and coding.: Works with clients and Business Analysts to determine software requirements and system impacts. Enhances existing software by analyzing and identifying areas for optimization or refactoring. Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests. Conducts feasibility studies and communicates and documents approaches, including presenting results to management. Assists with application maintenance by monitoring and correcting software defects. Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments. Oversees tactical code development for compliance with standards and architecture. Monitors all code development against system specifications regularly. Monitors competitive use of technology. Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments and how they may impact development efforts. Mentors junior code developers in industry best practices, procedures, and concepts.

Analyst Organization

Analyzes organizational structure, responsibilities, teamwork, capabilities of incumbents, business or operating procedures, reporting relationships, processes, and work flow to devise most efficient methods of accomplishing work. Plans study of work problems and internal disconnects and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, quality control, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis. Gathers and organizes information on problem or processes including present operating processes. : Analyzes data gathered, develops information, and considers all available solutions or alternate methods of proceeding. Organizes and documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Confers with personnel concerned to assure smooth functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. May also participate in manpower planning and succession planning. May install new systems and train personnel in application and team building. May conduct operational effectiveness reviews to ensure functional or project systems are applied as designed and functioning satisfactorily. May develop or update functional or operating manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.

Marine Architect

Designs and oversees construction and repair of marine craft and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, dredges, submarines, torpedoes, floats, and buoys. Studies design proposals and specifications to establish basic characteristics of craft, such as size, weight, speed, propulsion, armament, cargo, displacement, draft, crew and passenger complements, and fresh or salt water service. Excludes supervisory positions.: Oversees construction and testing of prototype in model basin and develops sectional and waterline curves of hull to establish center of gravity, ideal hull form, and buoyancy and stability data. Designs complete hull and superstructure according to specifications and test data, in conformity with standards of safety, efficiency, and economy. Designs layout of craft interior including cargo space, passenger compartments, ladder wells, and elevators. Confers with Marine Engineers to establish arrangement of boiler room equipment and propulsion machinery, heating and ventilating systems, refrigeration equipment, piping, and other functional equipment. Evaluates performance of craft during dock and sea trials to determine design changes and conformance with national and international standards. May use computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and plans.

Executive Director Not for Profit Organization

Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of organization in accordance with board directives and corporation charter. This is the top executive and principal organization leader in the organization. Title practices among companies vary; depending on the organization, the position may have the title of Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer & President, President, General Manager, or other combinations. Evaluates performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of firm and contributions in attaining objectives. May preside over Board of Directors. May serve as chairman of committees, such as management, executive, engineering, and sales.

Management Services Organization Executive

Directs the overall operation and provides executive leadership in a management services organization.: Responsible for the profitability of a management services organization that manages business operations such as human resources, materials management, employee health and safety and financial management to improve productivity, lower costs, and enhance revenue. Establishes strategic plans and guides implementation. Confers with executive management to plan operational objectives, to develop policies and procedures, to coordinate functions and operations between divisions, departments and satellite locations, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Directs and coordinates formulation of financial programs and guides changes needed to reach financial goals. Represents the organization to major external authorities and constituencies. Plans and develops labor, and public relations policies designed to improve relations with patients, providers, employees, and the general public. Selects and evaluates performance of executive staff for compliance with established policies and objectives and contributions in attaining objectives. An advanced degree in a field of health or business is typically required for this position.

Organization Mission Services Executive

Provides guidance and leadership in the definition and implementation of mission, philosophy, and core values into the delivery of health care.: Works to increase management’s commitment to incorporate mission, philosophy, and values into the delivery of health care. Develops and directs programs and services that enhance the knowledge, power and effectiveness of the organization. Increases awareness and understanding of the organization’s mission by expressing it often through various means and styles. Advances the values and culture of organization by providing advice, facts, and/or records vital and essential to the mission. Promotes the intellectual capital of the organization and serves as a resource for educational materials related to understanding the mission. Analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and or reductions, and may allocate operating budget's funds. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related health care field and experience in related areas.

Welfare Organization Director

Directs agency or major function of public or voluntary organization providing services in social welfare field to individuals, groups, or community: works with board of directors and committees to establish policies and programs and administers such programs. Determines policies and defines scope of services to be rendered within legislative regulations for public welfare agency functioning without board of directors. Assumes responsibility for development and administration of standards and procedures related to personnel, including staff development, budget, and physical facilities. Interprets agency purpose and program to community. Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in community toward meeting community needs and services. Prepares, distributes, and maintains variety of reports. Inspects agency operations and facilities to ensure agency meets standards and procedures criteria. May direct or coordinate fund raising, public relations, and fact finding or research activities. Employed in settings such as child welfare, community welfare councils, family casework, youth serving agencies, health organizations, informal education, and recreation, including scouting and y's, public welfare, and fund raising. May work in specific area of social welfare and be designated director, child support enforcement program; director, community center; director, social service; director, rehabilitation program; director, mental health agency.

Database Architect

Designs, develops, and implements infrastructure to provide highly-complex, reliable, and scalable database to meet the organization's objectives and requirements. Analyzes organization's business requirements for database design, and implements changes to database as required. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and three years of database experience; however, some organizations will accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Performs systems analysis on database, and resolves performance, capacity, and replication issues as necessary. Provides detailed design and specification documentation, including flowcharts, for all aspects of the database. Develops, in conjunction with database analysts, methodologies, report views, queries, and table replications, and ensures that all the data is in the proper format. Participates in the identification, prioritization, and development of technical initiatives and strategies. Develops and maintains database standards and naming conventions. Keeps up-to-date on emerging database architectures, technologies, and methodologies, and attends training classes as necessary. Possesses extensive knowledge of one or more database systems, and is capable of working in all phases of database design and management.

SAP Portal Architect

Provides architectural, landscape design, and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced websites, interfaces, and portals as per the Project SAP business vision and scope established. Provides technical direction and leadership to design and implement corporate global portals with a focus in security issues arising from a global portal landscape. Develops a road map of all e-business applications and determines any implications in the SAP environment. Assists in guiding definition of the technology environment and the deployment of SAP Portal technology and self-service features, as well as e-commerce capabilities inherent in the software licensed.: Collaborates with the Master Data Manager and the external focus team to ensure that all data definitions, mappings, and changes are properly coordinated with e-business applications. Mobilizes the integration of company’s websites moving forward in the SAP environment. Develop short -and long-term plans for each existing website, working with the external focus team. Collaborates with business and technology leaders to identify key business requirements used to enable enterprise portal strategy. Develops higher-level plans for units and provides significant input on long-term IT strategy. Identifies current business application data elements used by the existing websites and assists in mapping those data elements to SAP, ensuring that the data will still be available to the sites. Creates technical design specifications for web projects. Conveys the technical design to team members and ensures that design is implemented to successful project completion. Coordinates the design, planning, and regression testing of all website integration with SAP.
