Prepares employee ratings and conducts employee benefit and insurance programs. May prepare organizational budget and monthly financial reports. May hire and train clerical staff. May compile, store, and retrieve managerial data.

Business Office Supervisor

Supervises employees in the patient accounting area of the business office. Implements and monitors effective business office work processes, staffing plans, resource allocation, and logistical planning. Typically requires three years of related business office work experience. : Ensures accurate patient billing and accounting. Supervises and coordinates subordinate staff. Ensures that established policies and procedures for patient billing, advance payments, and third-party payments are observed in business office transactions. Coordinates departmental activities to provide designated services with optimum efficiency and accuracy. Provides resolution on patient billing discrepancies. Conducts staff meetings for dissemination of pertinent information. Responsible for training and motivation of staff. May assist in the selection process. Prepares reports on activities.

Hotel Manager Front Office

Coordinates front office activities of hotel or motel and resolves problems arising from guests' complaints, reservation and room assignment activities, and unusual requests and inquiries. Assigns duties and shifts to workers and observes performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures. This position typically reports to the General Manager Hotel and supervises subordinate staff.: Confers and cooperates with other department heads to ensure coordination of hotel activities. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services. Greets important guests. Arranges for private telephone line and other special services. May patrol public rooms, investigate disturbances, and warn troublemakers. May interview and hire applicants. May receive and process advance registration payments. Manager Insurance Office

Manages and coordinates activities of branch office of insurance company, agency or insurance brokerage firm. Hires and trains workers in performing activities, such as selling insurance, processing insurance claims, or underwriting. The manager level is typically the second level of management and may have first level supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller companies the manager may be a first level supervisor over subordinate staff.: Reviews activity reports to ensure that personnel have achieved sales quotas, processed claims promptly, or credited collections to policyholders' accounts. Confers with company officials to plan and develop methods and procedures to increase sales, lower costs, and obtain greater efficiency. Interprets, implements, and enforces company policies. Prepares and submits activity reports. May reconcile earned commissions with commission advances on sales personnel.

Office Equipment Sales Representative

Sells office machines, such as computers, calculating, and duplicating machines, to business establishments.: Performs duties as sales representative. May instruct employees or purchasers in use of machine. May make machine adjustments. May sell office supplies, such as paper, ribbons, ink, and tapes. May rent or lease office machines.

Receptionist Front Office Assistant

Greets and receives visitors at establishment, determines nature of business, and directs visitors to destination. Obtains visitor's name and announces visitor's arrival to appropriate person. Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and takes messages as needed. Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents and assists with other administrative projects. : Maintains reception area in neat and orderly condition. Assists visitors and staff with questions and information. May issue visitor's pass when required. May operate telephone console to receive incoming messages. May make future appointments. Keeps records of room assignments and other registration information. May issue escort instructions to bellhop. May keep records of room availability and guests' accounts. May post charges, such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger. May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arrange for tours. May deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box. May order complimentary flowers or champagne for guests. May rent dock space at marina-hotel.

Front Office Manager Assistant

Assists the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the Front Office Department in a hotel. Develops and implements processes and procedures for the front office, bell stand, parking, concierge service, etc., that support achievement of service and financial goals. : Analyzes business forecasts and schedules accordingly. Ensures Front Office handles billing and cash in accordance with hotel's standards. Plans and coordinates hotel housing activities by working closely with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping, and other departments. Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement. Ensures all guests are welcomed and efficiently registered on their arrival. Monitors staff for professional, efficient, and courteous service. Assists in meeting brand standards, passing quality assurance inspections, and creating a positive working environment.
