Occupational Health-Workers Comp Director

Plans, directs, implements, and administers ongoing improvement of occupational health and worker's compensation services in a health plan. Manages the Occupational Health-Worker's Compensation staff and implements strategies relative to the development and management of related services. Designs and implements programs to maintain positive relationships between the health plan, physicians, providers, and practice managers. Respiratory Therapy Director

Plans, directs, and monitors operations, functions, and resources of the Respiratory Therapy Department to assure optimal and safe patient care in the delivery of respiratory care services. Directs and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and five years of experience in providing respiratory care.: Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional guidelines associated with the delivery of respiratory care services. Occupational Health-Workers Comp Manager

Oversees and manages the delivery of patient care for Occupational Health Services/Employee Health, ensuring that patient care is provided according to established standards of care and practice. Consults with physicians regarding patient assessments, care provided, new services, and other relevant information.: Leads and manages the Occupational Health team including providing direction and guidance to the Medical Director. Develops and coordinates regional internal and external occupational health resources. Collaborates with others to anticipate and control occupational health risks and meet OSHA regulatory and governance requirements. Partners with the wellness, health benefits, local medical provider networks, and the contract medical director in defining risk-based processes for health management. Facilitates strategic vendor partnerships for organization's Occupational Health management systems. Develops and reports quality assurance, quality control, and performance metrics to demonstrate positive outcomes for both corporate and regional occupational health programs.

Physical Therapy Director

Directs the programs and staff of the Physical Therapy Department that treats disabled, injured, or diseased patients to improve or restore physical functioning, relieve pain, and prevent physical dysfunction. Assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, a current license, and five years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.: Establishes standards for therapy and patient participation. Evaluates patients' needs and administers therapy to preserve and improve abilities for independent function, such as range of motion, strength, tolerance, coordination, behavioral management skills, social skills, and activities of daily living. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic, orthotic, and other adaptive and assistive devices and constructs or modifies as necessary. Consults with others to discuss treatment plans, new or unusual situations, findings, options, and recommendations on client/patient cases. Provides consultation, makes recommendations, gives appropriate advice, and/or facilitates decisions. Writes or drafts technical reports, articles, or related material based on research, investigation, or analysis. Documents client/patient progress and revises treatment plans as required. Assists Occupational Therapist in administering occupational therapy program in hospital, related facility, or community setting for physically, developmentally, mentally disabled, or emotionally disabled clients. Assists in evaluation of clients' daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations. Assists in planning and implementing educational, vocational, and recreational programs and activities established by registered Occupational Therapist, designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performances, diminish or correct pathology, and to promote and maintain health and self-sufficiency. May require certification.: Designs and adapts equipment and working-living environment. Fabricates splints and other assistant devices. Reports information and observations to supervisor. Occupational Therapy Aide

Assists Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant in occupational therapy program in hospital or similar institution. Performs program support services, such as transporting patient, assembling equipment, and preparing and maintaining work areas, as directed by professional staff.: Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment. May help professional staff demonstrate therapy techniques, such as manual and creative arts, games, and daily living activities to patients. Lays out materials for individual's use, and cleans and repairs tools at end of sessions.

Physical Therapy Manager

Plans and administers prescribed physical therapy treatment program for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness, disease, or injury. Position requires minimum of bachelor's degree in physical therapy, supervisory experience, and eligibility for state licensure. Provides direction and supervision for physical therapy staff.: Ensures quality care in accordance with national, state, hospital, and department standards. Collaborates with rehabilitation team and other hospital departments to coordinate treatment programs. Consults with head therapists on specific therapy problems. Assists patients to dress, undress, and put on and remove supportive devices, such as braces, splints, and slings, before and after treatments. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment.: Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Provides routine treatments, such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, and paraffin bath. Transports patients to and from treatment area. Cleans work area and equipment after treatment. May record treatment given and equipment used. May inventory and requisition supplies and equipment. May adjust fit of supportive devices for patients, as instructed. May be assigned to specific type of treatment or patient service.
