Tax Policy Research Government Manager

Manages the analyses of all tax laws, the development of complex agency or state policies, regulations, legislative proposals, and impact statements, and the application of these to novel situations. Manages the agency's centralized policy analysis and development function in the review, analysis, evaluation, and development of agency or statewide policies, procedures, regulations, and/or legislation.: Develops and recommends the operating budget. Plans, develops, and maintains the agency regulations process by reviewing and approving proposals for technical consistency, facilitating the requirements of existing regulations, and determining the need for revisions. Reviews and approves impact statements. Serves as spokesperson and liaison on policy, regulatory, or legislative matters by interpreting department programs, concerns, issues, and proposals to taxed entities, governmental agencies, special interest groups, legislative bodies, and the public. Oversees the development of research methods and their application to studies which examine policy issues including economic concerns, enforcement implications, and other programmatic effects. Recruits and selects staff and recommends changes in resource allocation, staff needs, and workload adjustments. Manages staff by developing performance standards, conducting performance evaluations, initiating disciplinary actions, and delegating and reviewing technical and administrative activities. May provide staff assistance to executive management in such areas as replying to appeals in case work and/or conducting independent research on policy, program, regulatory, or legislative issues. May supervise and evaluate the work of Tax Policy Analysts.

Research Mechanic

Fabricates, lays out, assembles, and tests mechanical, electromechanical, structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts, assemblies, and mechanisms to assist engineers in determining faulty design or fabrication procedures. Fabricates, lays out, and assembles parts, assemblies, and mechanisms to be tested, according to blueprints, specifications, sketches, templates, or verbal instructions.: Installs test specimens in test equipment, and connects wiring, tubing, couplings, and power sources, using hand tools and power tools. Operates test equipment to gather data on performance of parts, assemblies, and mechanisms under simulated and operational conditions. Measures induced variations from normal, using precision instruments. Records and interprets test data. Confers with engineering personnel regarding test procedures and test results. Fabricates and assembles test equipment, tooling, shop aids, or other devices for experimental test projects.

Feed Research Aide

Feeds rations of experimental feeds to animals, such as poultry, dogs, and cows, and compiles data on growth, productivity, and health of animals: weighs feed rations and livestock and gathers eggs and milks cows. Observes livestock to note changes in health and preference for certain foods. Records data for evaluation by professional personnel. Waters stock and cleans pens.

Document Control Coordinator

Provides primary support for document control management system. Assures compliance with regulations and standards established by regulatory agencies.: Maintains document control management system. Captures, stores, and retrieves document images. Coordinates and performs document change control process including receipt, maintenance, approval, distribution, and storage of controlled documents such as standard operating procedures, forms, protocols, reports, drawings, and other quality documents. Distributes and retrieves documents to/from all concerned departments. Maintains paper and electronic binders and logs of controlled documents, templates, and related records. Ensures processed documents are complete, concise, accurate, and conform to established formats. Manages archival activities for controlled documents.

Clinical Research Coordinator

Coordinates and participates in clinical research studies by performing a variety of complex activities involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data. Assists in the determination of guidelines for the collection of clinical data or administration of clinical studies. Coordinates and implements procedures for data collection from patient charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests and other sources. Typically requires a college degree in health sciences and three years of clinical or research experience. : Codes, evaluates, and interprets collected data and prepares appropriate documentation. Obtains blood samples, cultures, tissues, and other specimens for laboratory analysis. Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies. Educates staff members regarding study design and time lines. Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data in conjunction with the principal researcher. Coordinates preparation of manuscripts for publication. Assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols or modifications to study design, as appropriate. Coordinates the development of forms, questionnaires, and the application of research techniques. Reviews journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to remain abreast of new developments. May schedule patients for study procedures.

Medical Records Research Coordinator

Organizes and oversees recordkeeping activities related to the release and retrieval of medical records for research projects. Coordinates the processing and review of patient medical records for research projects. Ensures that all medical records are released according to HIPAA guidelines. Typically requires minimum of three years of medical records experience.: Ensures compliance of records with relevant regulations and standards. Abstracts and retrieves medical data used for evaluation and planning of research in health care, health-related programs, and/or medical investigations. Responds to inquiries from physicians, staff, and outside agencies and/or individuals regarding medical records, x-rays, slides, and/or specimens. Assists with the development and preparation of statistical reports required by external agencies and regulatory authorities. Monitors delinquent and deficient record systems, notifying clinicians of delinquent and/or deficient records for correction to ensure that established standards are met. Monitors the circulation of medical records and is responsible for assuring safe and proper return. Releases information to authorized individuals, adhering to established guidelines.

Tax Director Research

Directs activities of personnel responsible for ensuring that tax research has been properly conducted. Typically reports to Top Tax Corporate Officer and managerial level may report to this position.: Compiles data based on tax studies and analyses of past and current years to prepare budgets and to justify taxes reported. Correlates appropriations for specific taxes related to divisional programs. Prepares regular and special budget reports to interpret budget directives and to establish policies for carrying out directives. Submits reports to director of organization with recommendations for budget revisions.

Infection Control Coordinator

Directs and coordinates infection control program in hospital. Compares laboratory reports with communicable diseases list to identify conditions that require infection control procedures. Advises and consults with physicians, nurses, and hospital personnel concerning precautions to be taken to protect patients, staff, and other people from possible contamination or infection. Requires RN license.: Investigates infection control problems and arranges for follow-up care for people exposed to infection or disease. Instructs hospital personnel in universal and specific infection control procedures.
