Plans, administers, and directs operation of health rehabilitation programs, such as physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies. Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant

Develops and coordinates implementation of vocational rehabilitation programs: consults with members of local communities and personnel of rehabilitation facilities, such as sheltered workshops and skills training centers, to identify need for new programs or modification of existing programs. Collects and analyzes data to define problems and develops proposals for programs to provide needed services, utilizing knowledge of vocational rehabilitation theory and practice, program funding sources, and government regulations. Provides staff training, negotiates contracts for equipment and supplies, and performs related functions to implement program changes. Monitors program operations and recommends additional measures to ensure programs meet defined needs.

Rehabilitation Center Manager

Coordinates activities and provides for physical and emotional needs of public-welfare recipients housed in indigent camp: cooperates with welfare department investigators, psychologists, and physicians in assigning activities to indigents and in providing specialized attention to them in accordance with recommendations. Appoints leaders of activities, such as food preparation and maintenance of grounds, from camp inmates in accord with democratic leadership principles and welfare department policy. Coordinates sanitation, food management, health, education, spiritual counseling, and vocational activity programs in conformity with available facilities, needs of camp inmates, and policy of department. Plans and coordinates annual campaigns for the solicitation of funds from special constituencies. Coordinates and manages all aspects of annual giving campaigns, including budgets, preparation of support materials, program promotion, and report generation. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and two years of public relations or fundraising experience.: Plans, implements, and analyzes the results of annual campaigns to include direct mail, personal solicitation, commemorative giving, and telethons. Collaborates with local fund development officials to secure planned gifts. Offers technical expertise to structure gifts that are financial and legally sound. Assists and advises local fund development officials in conducting appropriate stewardship and recognition activities for donors. Develops and implements policies and guidelines to set legal, ethical, and financial parameters for planned giving. Coordinates solicitation of additional donor constituencies, as designated. Manages processes through which gifts are received, recorded, and distributed. Sets goals, develops schedules, organizes solicitations, and acknowledges gifts. Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress and adverse trends and presents appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Obtains information required for client's records such as name, address, age, medical history, present medications, previous treatments, party responsible for payment, and work limitations. Compiles, verifies, and records client data in vocational rehabilitation facility. Prepares and maintains clients' records and reports.: Prepares and assists clients to complete routine intake and personnel forms. Gives and receives client information in person, by telephone, or by mail to authorized people. Prepares client attendance, training, and counseling reports from client records. Reviews training approval forms and payment vouchers for completeness and accuracy. May schedule appointments, keep track of cancellations, and provide general information.

Community Rehabilitation Worker

Supports and assists clients, often children, youth, families, or adults with disabilities, to participate in rehabilitation by providing rehabilitation services based in the community. Offers therapy and support around cognitive, behavioral, and psychosocial issues on an outreach basis. Assists health care professionals and social services agencies in the delivery of rehabilitation programs, such as independent living skills training, in community-based settings.: Obtains information and prepares reports or case histories. Appraises clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Implements life skills workshops. Assesses client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Develops, coordinates, and implements the delivery of specific services within the community. Provides suicide and crisis intervention. Resolves conflict situations. Liaises with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintains program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs. May supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
