Employee Training Director

Develops the development and administration of organization training programs. Develops training objectives, strategies, policies, and programs. Directs the implementation of policies and procedures related to various training and educational programs for the employees of an organization. Directs and mentors staff of trainers. Typically reports to a Top Officer and has manager level reporting to this position.: Investigates and evaluates a variety of in-house and outside training and educational programs. Conducts needs evaluation and designs curricula and courses to meet those needs. Liaises with management to ensure training and educational programs achieve corporate goals. Directs analysis and design of materials and programs and suggests enhancements. Ensures all new clerical and supervisory employees complete orientation/general instructional sessions. Prepares reports for management. Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. May direct management trainee program.

Child Life Program Director

Oversees the Child Life Program in a college or university that prepares students to work with children and families within a healthcare setting or pursue a higher academic education. Directs an academic program that trains students to help patients and families cope with the fear, anxiety, and separation from home and school associated with a child's hospital stay.: Plans, develops, and implements the program to ensure quality educational experiences. Prioritizes, schedules, oversees, and evaluates the work of others in the Child Life Program. Develops and administers the program budget. Provides leadership in teaching, scholarship, and professional practice. Oversees academic planning, ongoing development, and evaluation of the Child Life Program. Develops and maintains Child Life Program relationships both within the department and within the community. Develops and coordinates the use of educational facilities and clinical resources. Recruits faculty for employment and assists with classroom and clinical performance reviews of faculty. Develops, evaluates, and revises student admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies. Collaborates with the Chair of the Department to schedule and staff courses as necessary. Assists Child Life Program graduates who are seeking employment and maintains post graduation data about them. May teach assigned classes. May recruit students and participate in the admissions process. May monitor and support students' academic progress throughout the program. May arrange and oversee collaborations with hospitals where students' internships occur.

Employee Assistance Program Director

Plans, develops, and implements Employee Assistance products and services. Manages activities within Employee Assistance Programs which assist employees and their immediate families when personal, social, or environmental difficulties exist which predispose illness or interfere with the employee's job performance. Typically requires a master's degree in social services with five years of employee assistance program experience.: Directs the Employee Assistance Program operation to include hiring, developing, and motivating staff and developing and overseeing the departmental budget. Establishes linkage with community and statewide resources. Develops and markets EAP products and services. Conducts training sessions on a variety of topics including Employee Assistance Programs, chemical dependency/alcoholism, and stress management. Assists in the design and implementation of mechanisms for evaluating utilization of service, client satisfaction, supervisor satisfaction, and program efficacy. Compiles statistical information for monthly and annual reports.

Program Manager

Manages program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing program, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of program. : Selects personnel according to knowledge and experience in area with which program is concerned, such as social or public welfare, education, economics, or public relations. Confers with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of program. Program Officer

Provides leadership and serves as a primary contact for an assigned program, often as part of a foundation or nonprofit organization. Coordinates and participates in program administration, policy development, program assessment, competition management, financial oversight, and budget management. Reports to the Program Director.: Reviews submitted proposals, evaluating them for soundness of project design and adequacy of program evaluation and sustainability. Develops resources to expand and sustain the program. Identifies policy issues and makes appropriate recommendations to senior management. Prepares competition-related publications and web-based materials, including program announcements. Leads the development and administration of financial information systems. Manages the collection and review of financial reports, reviews policy issues raised by expenditures, responds to related queries, and prepares summary reports. Reviews, analyzes, and approves requests for budget amendments and no cost extensions. Collaborates with others in conducting and responding to audits. May develop and implement grant-making strategies.

Human Resources Training Manager

Manages the activities related to various training and educational programs for an organization. Assesses and identifies individual or group training needs, and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs. Prepares a variety of training aids and materials. Typically reports to director level and supervisory level reports to this position.: Keeps informed of new training methods. Determines appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization's training goals and objectives. Analyzes training program effectiveness and submits reports and recommendations to management. Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. Recruits, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

IT Systems & Program Director

Plans, directs, and controls systems analysis and programming activities, including establishing and implementing systems and procedures and the preparation of programs for the solutions of business, scientific, and/or engineering problems. Consults with managerial and systems analysis personnel to review and clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming and coding required. Assigns, coordinates, and reviews work of programming personnel. Typically reports to the IT Top Officer and manager level personnel report to this position.: Develops programs from workflow charts or diagrams, considering factors, such as computer storage capacity and speed, extent of peripheral equipment, and intended use of output data. Oversees conversion of workflow charts to a language that can be processed by computer and entering of program codes and test data into computer. Analyzes test runs on computer and directs correction of coded program and input data. Directs revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. Prescribes standards for terms and symbols used to simplify interpretation of programs. Collaborates with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Prepares activity records and progress reports. May be responsible for overseeing computer equipment operations.

Employee Training Supervisor

Supervises the activities related to various training and educational programs for an organization. Supervises staff of training and education specialists who organize and conduct training and educational programs for employee development, orientation, and on-the-job training. Assists in the development of training programs. Typically reports to manager level and is the first level of supervision.: Determines training methods to be used, such as individual or group instruction, conferences, workshops, and demonstrations. Researches and develops handbooks, models, and other teaching aids. Evaluates employee test scores to measure training program effectiveness and reports findings to management. Recommends changes to improve program content, and works with management to achieve corporate training goals. Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Employee Training Specialist

Develops and conducts training programs for employees of industrial, commercial, service, or government establishment. Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies. Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as those concerned with new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, sales techniques, safety and health practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, retraining displaced workers, and leadership development. This is a professional level non-supervisory position and the level of responsibility typically requires a related degree from a college or university.: Selects or develops teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. May select and coordinate training programs with outside vendors or professionals. May specialize in developing instructional software.

Vocational Training Teacher

Teaches vocational skills to disabled students. Confers with students, parents, school personnel, and other individuals to plan vocational training that meets needs, interests, and abilities of students. Instructs students in areas such as personal-social skills and work-related attitudes and behaviors. : Develops work opportunities that allow students to experience success in performing tasks of increasing difficulty and that teach work values, such as self-improvement, independence, dependability, productivity, and pride of workmanship. Conducts field trips to enable students to learn about job activities and to explore work environments. May teach academic skills to students. May instruct students in one or more vocational skills, such as woodworking, building maintenance, cosmetology, food preparation, gardening, sewing, or nurse aiding.
