Municipal Bonds Underwriter

Reviews individual applications, evaluates degree of risk involved, and accepts applications, following company's underwriting policies. Examines documents and financial reports to determine degree of risk of applicant's financial standing and value and condition of real property. : Reviews records to ascertain amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks, and evaluates possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance. Declines risks that are too excessive to obligate company. Dictates correspondence for field representatives and other insurance or inspection companies to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company's underwriting policies. When risk is excessive, authorizes reinsurance, or when risk is substandard, limits company's obligation by decreasing value of policy, specifying applicable endorsements, or applying rating to ensure safe and profitable distribution of risks, using rate books, tables, code books, and other reference material.

Municipal Court Judge

Arbitrates disputes, advises counsel, jury, litigants, or court personnel, and administers judicial system: establishes rules of procedure on questions for which standard procedures have not been established by law or by superior court. Reads or listens to allegations made by plaintiff in civil suits to determine their sufficiency. Examines evidence in criminal cases to determine if evidence will support charges. Listens to presentation of case, rules on admissibility of evidence and methods of conducting testimony, and settles disputes between opposing attorneys. Instructs jury on applicable law and directs jury to deduce facts from evidence presented. Sentences defendant in criminal cases, on conviction by jury, according to statutes of state or federal government, or awards judicial relief to litigants in civil cases in relation to findings by jury or by court. May be designated according to level of court in judicial hierarchy as appellate-court judge; district-court judge; municipal-court judge; superior-court judge; supreme-court justice. May preside over particular court department and be designated conciliation-court judge; criminal-court judge; juvenile-court judge; probate judge.

Equity Trader

Processes and executes equity based trades at prices that are advantageous, considering the size of the order, the trading supply, and prevailing market conditions. Analyzes market conditions, social and economic data, and financial information. Evaluates financial risk, makes decisions, and prepares reports. Reviews transactions to ensure accuracy of information and that trades conform to regulations of governing agencies. Informs and advises management regarding fluctuations and irregularities.: Utilizes working knowledge of trade related activities occurring on various securities exchange floors and on various electronic trading systems. Enters, accesses, or retrieves data. Keeps informed of relevant conditions and trends concerning corporate and specialized securities markets to detect changes and to allow for timely planning and action. Provides appropriate investment and company management groups with sound and timely information and recommendations concerning market trends, buy and sell activity, broker commissions budgeting and tracking, equity securities pricing and price volatility, and transaction timing. Provides market and stock commentary and feedback to individual Portfolio Managers and/or Analysts, keeping them abreast of all ongoing working orders. Identifies potential trading strategies and offers ideas to improve existing algorithms or to create new ones. Maintains familiarity with the firm's investment policies and procedures. Maintains professional relationships with the brokerage community. Maintains a thorough understanding of stock market terms and trading practices.

Securities Trader

Purchases and sells securities for brokerage firm according to sales order. Receives sales order ticket from registered representative, and inspects form to ensure accuracy of information. Contacts market maker (securities exchange or brokerage firm that is trading requested securities) to execute client orders for purchase or sale of securities, or completes transaction independently if brokerage firm is market maker in requested securities. Must pass state examination to receive license and become registered to trade securities.: Writes and signs sales order confirmation forms to record and approve securities transactions. Reviews all securities transactions to ensure that trades conform to regulations of Securities and Exchange Commission, National Association of Securities Dealers, and other government agencies. May prepare financial reports to monitor corporate finances. May have management or supervisory responsibility for department employees. May provide clients with information on investments and sell securities and other financial services.

Securities Sales Trader

Buys and sells stocks and bonds for individuals and organizations as representative of stock brokerage firm, applying knowledge of securities, market conditions, government regulations, and financial circumstances of customers. Must have broker's license.: Gives information and advice regarding stocks, bonds, market conditions, and history and prospects of various corporations to prospective customers, based on interpretation of data from securities reports, financial periodicals, and stock-quotation-viewer screen, and persuades customers to buy or sell specific securities according to their financial needs. Transmits buy or sell orders in accordance with customer's wishes. Develops portfolio of selected investments for customer. Compiles list of prospective customers and telephones prospects to obtain additional business.

Bond Sales Trader

Performs any combination of following duties to maintain and repair property of municipality, using variety of machines, tools, and equipment: receives written work orders or verbal instructions from municipal administrator. Cuts grass and trims weeds on town property and parks, using lawn mower and weed trimmer. Digs flower beds and plants flowers, using gardening tools. Constructs decorative flower garden borders from wood, using handtools. Cleans buildings, washes windows, and empties trash cans, using brooms, cleaning supplies, and floor buffer. Paints interior and exterior walls and trim, using paint and painting tools. Operates backhoe to dig trenches for water and sewer pipe. Drives truck and loads fallen tree limbs and roadside trash onto truck, and delivers refuse to landfill. Repairs streets and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete, using shovel, hand roller, trowel, level, and long-handled tamp. Removes and replaces damaged parking meters and traffic signs. Operates snow removal equipment to maintain streets, sidewalks, and driveways. Reads water meters and records reading in logbook. Maintains and repairs municipal buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, such as switches and fuses. Repairs or replaces building brick, stone, and concrete. Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings, using carpenter tools. Replaces worn or damaged parts, such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment, such as truck, street sweeper, and riding mower. Hand washes vehicles.

Identifies and engages with key customers to drive product adoption. Manages outside resources to create and publish press releases, advertisements, white papers, and conference materials. Forecasts and is accountable for new product revenue, pricing strategies, and end-of-life activities.
