Directs work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning in various sections of the engineering department. Directs planning and establishing of engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates. Typically reports to the Engineering Top Officer and supervises Manufacturing Engineering Manager.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Directs assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Oversees preparation and control of departmental annual budget.
Plans, develops, and establishes the policies, practices, and personnel related to all the manufacturing activities of an organization and as required to facilitate manufacturing processes. Directs the manufacturing production and services. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer.: Directs the manufacture of products on schedule, in accordance with quality standards, and at the lowest possible cost with the highest quality. Deals with suppliers regarding the flow of raw materials. Oversees the preparation of production reports. Defines the long- and short-term goals of the manufacturing activity including capacity. May be responsible for manufacturing support activities such as maintenance, production control, warehousing, and industrial engineering. May direct the procedures and activities related to procurement of materials and capital equipment.
Coordinates work of various departments to coordinate the manufacturing for an organization. Coordinates production at a single facility or in some cases production of several smaller facilities. Assigns duties and coordinate activities of supervisors and/or employees engaged in production. Typically reports to Head of Manufacturing or a division manager and may have supervisors or managers of lower level departments reporting to this position.: Ensures manufacture of products on schedule, in accordance with quality standards, and at the lowest possible cost with the highest quality. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
