May train establishment volunteers to assist in presentation of classes or tours. May develop and submit program and activity grant proposals and applications and implement programs funded as result of successful applications.

Local Area Network Administrator

Administers design, organization, and implementation of network, and oversees technical support staff who manage and maintain hubs, servers, and routers. Responsibilities require an understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice. May require a college degree or extensive education and experience in a related field.: Interfaces with users, technical teams, and vendors on new technology and system upgrades and to determine software and hardware installation requirements. Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment which meets establishment requirements. Assists in presenting recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment. Develops and monitors security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software. Prepares charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers and others in proper use. Organizes training programs and prepares checklists and processes for help desk. May oversee or assist in installation of communications hardware. May perform minor equipment repairs.

Nursing Education Manager

Plans, develops, organizes, teaches, conducts, and evaluates a variety of in-service orientation programs and educational programs for clinical personnel to meet competency assessment requirements in conformance with departmental objectives and accreditation standards. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, with significant clinical nursing experience in a specialty area. Nursing education experience is usually also required.: Coordinates and implements a variety of nursing educational services within the organization. Facilitates needs assessments, creative strategies, and techniques in support of nursing educational service delivery. Plans and evaluates educational programs designed to meet learning needs of nursing staff. Prepares and manages the departmental budget. Hires, develops, and motivates a qualified Nursing Education Department staff. Remains abreast of new developments in education services, methods, and programs and implements application of such developments in the in-service training program. Monitors and assesses the overall effectiveness and outcomes of educational programs and activities. Evaluates academic performance and clinical competency of staff.

Load Dispatcher Local

Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in operating generating stations, substations, and lines of electric power system or electrified railway system to ensure adequate production and distribution of electricity to meet power demands: in smaller system, calculates load estimates according to corrected weather and consumer-demand records and notifies switchboard operator at generating stations of electric power required to meet fluctuating demands; or in larger systems receives load schedule for various generating stations from power-plant operator. Monitors control board showing operating condition of lines and equipment throughout system and makes adjustments or directs workers to make adjustments as conditions warrant. Directs substation operator and other workers to deenergize malfunctioning circuits or adjusts switches to ensure safety of maintenance crew and avoid interruptions of service during repairs. Notifies maintenance crew of location and deenergization of troubled sector, and verifies that workers are clear of repaired equipment before directing energization of circuit. Contacts other utilities by telephone to arrange exchange of power according to existing contracts or in emergency and coordinates tie-in with other systems. Compiles operational records. May operate console of computer which is programmed to automatically perform load-control functions. May calculate discharge rate of water in reservoirs utilizing reports of rain, river flow, and water level in reservoirs, and directs setting of watergates at hydroelect.

Patient Education Coordinator

Develops, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs for the orientation and development of staff. Develops, plans, and implements a program of education for all facility personnel, including orientation of new personnel to facility and operational techniques. : Provides training in safe, effective delivery of patient care that assures compliance with standards outlined in the facility procedure manual and State and Federal regulations. Determines the effectiveness of orientation materials and procedures through direct observation and in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Services and Medical Director. Plans, coordinates, and conducts special in-service classes for facility personnel to implement new procedures, policies, equipment, and patient care techniques. Maintains library educational materials for facility personnel.
