Sterile Products Processor

Operates water still, mixer, clarifier, and filtering unit to process liquid and powder ingredients into sterile medications: turns valves to admit deionized water and steam to still and circulate water through condenser for distillation. Pours metered or measured amount of distilled water into container, weighs out or dumps preweighed ingredients into water and lowers mixing head into solution to dissolve and mix ingredients. Turns dial on ph meter to standard acidity reading, immerses electrodes in beaker of buffer solution, and adds acid or alkali, as specified, to achieve prescribed acidity. Pours mixture into clarifier unit to remove insoluble material. Immerses bacteriological filtering candle in clarified solution, connects tubing between candle and collecting vessel, and starts vacuum pump to draw solution through candle pores to remove bacteria and spores and produce sterile product. May set up ampoule- or vial-filling machine. May operate equipment to produce sterile, deionized water used in sterile medications. May sterilize equipment, using autoclave and disinfectant solution.

Sterile Processing Technician

Prepares, disinfects, tests, assembles, sterilizes, packages, and distributes a variety of supplies, instruments, and equipment to be used in patient care, often operating complicated disinfection and sterilization equipment.: Processes incoming supplies and equipment. Collects used equipment and supplies. Cleans, decontaminates, sterilizes, and assembles instruments and equipment, ensuring good working order. Operates steam and gas sterilizers and autoclaves. Labels processed equipment. Prepares and issues sterile equipment and supplies to patient care units as requested. Monitors and maintains inventory supply. Prepares packs of supplies such as linens, instruments, etc., as needed to maintain the sterilized supply levels of assigned areas. Prepares supplies for all surgery cases as directed. Prepares or assists with recordkeeping as needed. Conforms to rules of safety and infection control while performing these tasks and maintains compliance with acceptable hospital and regulatory agency standards of quality.

Lead Carpenter

Oversees and leads the on-site implementation of a construction project and/or projects. Understands and implements the client's objectives, all contract responsibilities, all plans, specifications, and product requirements. Serves as liaison between the client and managers. : Performs all types of carpentry work on the job in a timely manner, requesting help as needed. Executes all the finish carpentry work including trim, interior doors, cabinetry, and hardware. Assumes responsibility for layout, setting elevations, and concrete footings. Coordinates and supervises all trades (sub-contractors). Manages material takeoff, ordering, and delivery. Maintains a clean job site and safety standards and procedures. Protects the client's property. Tracks progress of project including any extra work needed and documents changes. May perform any tasks required on a remodeling project, including excavation, demolition, flooring, tile, windows, doors, insulation, painting, roofing, etc., with the exception of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Central-Service Technician

Prepares medical instruments and related items for use and ensures their availability. Scrubs and washes surgical instruments, containers, and equipment, such as aspirators and suction units. Sterilizes instruments, equipment, surgical linens, and supplies, such as surgical packs and treatment trays, using autoclave, sterilizer, or antiseptic solutions. Prepares packs of supplies, instruments, and dressing and treatment trays, according to designated lists or codes, and wraps, labels, and seals packs. Stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Fills requisitions, writes charges, and inventories supplies.: May be assigned to hospital areas, such as surgery and delivery rooms.

Tests, analyzes defects, and repairs telephone circuits and equipment in central office of telephone company, using test meters and hand tools. : Locates electrical, electronic, and mechanical failures in telephone switching equipment, using milliammeter boxes, schematic drawings, computer printouts, or trouble tickets. Installs, repairs, and adjusts equipment, such as switches, relays, and amplifiers, using hand tools. Removes connections on wire distributing frames and solders or splices wires to terminal lugs, following diagrams. May maintain telephone switching equipment at private establishments, such as hotels and office buildings. May diagnose, isolate, and clear electrical faults in circuit.
