Real Estate Firm Manager

Directs and coordinates activities of sales staff for real estate firm. Sells or rents property for clients. Manages residential and commercial properties for clients. Law Enforcement Officer

Carries out general and specific assignments from superior officers in accordance with established rules and procedures. In addition to the basic police duties described at level 1, receives additional compensation to specialize in one or more activities, such as: canine patrol; special reaction teams (e.g., special weapons assault team, special operations reaction team); juvenile cases; hostage negotiations; and participating in investigations (e.g., stakeout, surveillance) or other enforcement activities requiring specialized training and skills. Enforces laws established for the protection of persons and property, by detaining, arresting, interrogating, and incarcerating suspected violators, and appearing as a witness at trials. Work is performed in uniform or civilian clothes and officers are typically armed.

Street Openings Inspector

Inspects construction and excavation of gas or electric sites to ensure precautions are taken to prevent damage to company facilities: interprets blueprints and work order specifications and marks location of underground facilities and dimensions of trenches to be dug, using stakes and chalkline. Observes progress of work and reports extent of damages, such as broken or exposed pipes and cables or caved-in vaults, and urgency of repairs required. May coordinate gas or power construction and maintenance projects with underground work of municipal departments and other utilities.

Librarian Law

Manages library or section containing specialized materials for such institutions as law schools and hospitals, or for industrial, commercial, or governmental organizations. Selects, orders, catalogs, and classifies volume reference collection for professional and administrative staffs. A master's degree in library science is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job.: Searches literature, compiles accession lists, and annotates or abstracts materials. Assists patrons in research problems. May key information into computer to store or search for selected material. May translate or order translation of materials from foreign languages into English. May train other workers engaged in cataloguing, locating, filing, or copying selected material. May be designated according to subject matter, specialty, or library.

Opening Machine Cleaner

Cleans dust, dirt, grease, and lint from machines and auxiliary equipment, such as tanks and pipelines, in industrial plant or aboard ship, using cleaning solutions, waste, rags, waterhose, pumps, lint vacuum system, airhose, brushes, and scraping tools: cleans screen on lint vacuum system and replaces worn screen. May clean plant sewage treatment system and water supply wells. May remove machine guards and accessories, using handtools. May paint exposed surfaces of machines to prevent rust. May oil moving parts or wearing surfaces. May clean floors around machine, using broom or vacuum cleaner. May be designated according to machine or part of machine cleaned as bottle-packing-machine cleaner; creel cleaner; opening-machine cleaner; pin cleaner; rack cleaner; shafting cleaner. May be designated: card cleaner; guide-rail cleaner; loom blower.

Opening Machine Tender

Tends series of machines in tandem that open, clean, fluff, and mix compressed cotton or synthetic fibers preparatory to picking process: starts machines and feeds layers of fibers from several bales into machine hoppers to produce uniform blend. Observes processing of fibers and signal lights to detect clogged beaters. Stops machines and pulls fibers from clogged beaters. Cleans and oils machines. May weigh fibers preparatory to feeding machines.
