Designs the information architecture and user interface for client web development and online advertising solutions. Designs intuitive navigation systems and interaction strategies. Participates in all stages of projects from the discovery process through the concept development and design stage.: Translates client's business and communication goals into efficient interaction processes and successful user experiences. Collaborates with internal teams and clients to determine strategy as it relates to product, brand, marketing, content, and overall user experience. Creates conceptual diagrams, site maps, interaction flows, and wireframe layouts for rich Internet applications, websites, and other interactive media. Collaborates with visual designers, technical developers, and project managers on client engagements. Leads and/or participates in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing. Develops prototypes collaboratively for demonstration of concepts to clients. Conducts competitive audits and market research. Develops and documents detailed user experience specifications for highly interactive interfaces.

Database Architect

Designs, develops, and implements infrastructure to provide highly-complex, reliable, and scalable database to meet the organization's objectives and requirements. Analyzes organization's business requirements for database design, and implements changes to database as required. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and three years of database experience; however, some organizations will accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Performs systems analysis on database, and resolves performance, capacity, and replication issues as necessary. Provides detailed design and specification documentation, including flowcharts, for all aspects of the database. Develops, in conjunction with database analysts, methodologies, report views, queries, and table replications, and ensures that all the data is in the proper format. Participates in the identification, prioritization, and development of technical initiatives and strategies. Develops and maintains database standards and naming conventions. Keeps up-to-date on emerging database architectures, technologies, and methodologies, and attends training classes as necessary. Possesses extensive knowledge of one or more database systems, and is capable of working in all phases of database design and management.

Data Architect

Defines, designs, and builds relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data. Confers with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases. Reviews current data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. : Generates data acquisition and archive recovery strategies. Works with Database Administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into test and production environments. Integrates new data with existing warehouse structure and continuously improves system functionality. Evaluates and recommends new tools and methodologies. Consults with vendors to integrate selected packages. Deletes old data. Develops and maintains all standards in accordance with data structures and models. May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts.

Java Architect

Leads, develops, and facilitates the application process by providing advice relating to the use of application framework, system and application design, coding and design standards, best practices, and system performance and availability, building java-based software solutions to meet client needs. Develops and presents system architectures and strategies for assigned projects. Researches, designs, and writes software to specifications, either individually or leading a team of other architects. Provides technical and architectural guidance to the architectural team in areas of both design and coding.: Works with clients and Business Analysts to determine software requirements and system impacts. Enhances existing software by analyzing and identifying areas for optimization or refactoring. Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests. Conducts feasibility studies and communicates and documents approaches, including presenting results to management. Assists with application maintenance by monitoring and correcting software defects. Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments. Oversees tactical code development for compliance with standards and architecture. Monitors all code development against system specifications regularly. Monitors competitive use of technology. Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments and how they may impact development efforts. Mentors junior code developers in industry best practices, procedures, and concepts.

Network Architect

Analyzes and controls the technical architecture of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. Researches, tests, evaluates, and recommends telecommunications and data network systems. Analyzes workload, including traffic and utilization trends. Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate type of hardware installation. Supports complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization. Requires advanced knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware and software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent, and certification in networks.: Identifies areas of operation that need upgraded equipment, such as modems, fiber optic cables, and telephone wires. Conducts survey to determine user needs. Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment that meets establishment requirements. Visits vendors to learn about available products or services. Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system, using equipment such as computer terminal and modem. Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software for purchase. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software. Monitors system performance. Instructs users in use of equipment, and assists users to identify and solve data communication problems. May design and develop complex software interface programs. May write technical specifications to send to vendors for bid. May oversee or assist in installation of communications hardware. May perform minor equipment repairs.

Architect

Plans, designs, and supervises construction of building projects for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources. Researches, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Excludes supervisory positions.: Consults with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval. Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors. Represents client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts. Administers construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans. May prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports. May use computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans. May direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.

Landscape Architect

Plans and designs development of land areas for projects, such as parks and other recreational facilities, airports, highways and parkways, hospitals, schools, land subdivisions, and commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Landscape architects are typically required to be licensed or registered. Licensing is based on the Landscape Architect Registration Examination sponsored by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards. : Confers with clients, engineering personnel, and architects on overall program. Compiles and analyzes data on such site conditions as geographic location; soil, vegetation, and rock features; drainage; and location of structures for preparation of environmental impact report and development of landscaping plans. Prepares site plans, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for land development, showing ground contours, vegetation, locations of structures, and such facilities as roads, walks, parking areas, fences, walls, and utilities, coordinating arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures. Visits and analyzes the site during the planning stage site to verify design can be incorporated into the landscape and spends additional time at the site observing or supervising the construction. Inspects construction work in progress to ensure compliance with landscape specifications, to approve quality of materials and work, and to advise client and construction personnel on landscape features. May use computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and plans.

Marine Architect

Designs and oversees construction and repair of marine craft and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, dredges, submarines, torpedoes, floats, and buoys. Studies design proposals and specifications to establish basic characteristics of craft, such as size, weight, speed, propulsion, armament, cargo, displacement, draft, crew and passenger complements, and fresh or salt water service. Excludes supervisory positions.: Oversees construction and testing of prototype in model basin and develops sectional and waterline curves of hull to establish center of gravity, ideal hull form, and buoyancy and stability data. Designs complete hull and superstructure according to specifications and test data, in conformity with standards of safety, efficiency, and economy. Designs layout of craft interior including cargo space, passenger compartments, ladder wells, and elevators. Confers with Marine Engineers to establish arrangement of boiler room equipment and propulsion machinery, heating and ventilating systems, refrigeration equipment, piping, and other functional equipment. Evaluates performance of craft during dock and sea trials to determine design changes and conformance with national and international standards. May use computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and plans.

Architect Intern

Provides architectural support to the lead architect in the design, selection, coordination, and detailing of architectural materials and systems. Creates three-dimensional building information modeling and two-dimensional construction documentation using software. : Performs redline changes and revisions. Assists in the streamlining of the architectural design process from conceptual design through overall completion of projects. Assists with contract administration responsibilities. May participate in the architectural design process and develop alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to the client or for agency approval. May develop project specifications from master specifications. May participate in the review of product or shop drawing submittals during the construction phase.

Dotnet Architect

Develops architecture for .NET projects, serves as a subject matter expert in IT systems architecture for design and development, and is the overall architect for the systems application. Initiates, designs, documents, and delivers line of business application solutions for client/organization. Designs solutions and establishes and promotes solutions to clients, assisting with the development of delivery standards, hiring staff, and resource management.: Decides on strategic solutions to complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues. Utilizes experience as a functional analyst implementing .NET applications and in web-based applications, system architecture, component design, implementation, and deployment processes. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Drives the adoption of development standards across customer’s or organization’s application development teams, understands all stakeholders’ needs, and steers the solution in the direction that is best for the stakeholders and/or organization. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team. Acts as a resource for direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project schedules and costs. Maintains awareness of the latest technologies and emerging trends in Microsoft and IT.
