Foundation Manager - Annual Giving

Plans and coordinates annual campaigns for the solicitation of funds from special constituencies. Coordinates and manages all aspects of annual giving campaigns, including budgets, preparation of support materials, program promotion, and report generation. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and two years of public relations or fundraising experience.: Plans, implements, and analyzes the results of annual campaigns to include direct mail, personal solicitation, commemorative giving, and telethons. Collaborates with local fund development officials to secure planned gifts. Offers technical expertise to structure gifts that are financial and legally sound. Assists and advises local fund development officials in conducting appropriate stewardship and recognition activities for donors. Develops and implements policies and guidelines to set legal, ethical, and financial parameters for planned giving. Coordinates solicitation of additional donor constituencies, as designated. Manages processes through which gifts are received, recorded, and distributed. Sets goals, develops schedules, organizes solicitations, and acknowledges gifts. Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress and adverse trends and presents appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Corporate Giving Director

Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates ongoing and special project funding programs for museum, zoo, public broadcasting station, or similar institution: prepares statement of planned activities and enlists support from members of institution staff and volunteer organizations. Develops public relations materials to enhance institution image and promote fund raising program. Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and supporters of institution ongoing operations through examination of past records, individual and corporate contracts, and knowledge of community. Plans and coordinates fund drives for special projects. Assigns responsibilities for personal solicitation to members of staff, volunteer organizations, and governing body according to special interests or capabilities. Organizes direct mail campaign to reach other potential contributors. Plans and coordinates benefit events, such as banquets, balls, or auctions. Organizes solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Informs potential contributors of special needs of institution, and encourages individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gifts-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with attorneys to establish methods of transferring funds to benefit both donors and institution. Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify other sources of funding for research, community service, or other projects.

Corporate Giving Manager

Oversees, manages, and monitors the corporate giving program, including charitable contributions and volunteer programs. Sets and executes giving strategies consistent with the organization's objectives, guidelines, and established budget requirements.: Evaluates and makes decisions on grant requests. Monitors and reports on grant requirements. Oversees the administrative processing of approved grant requests. Coordinates the organization's participation in non-profit events. Acts as an informational resource for inquiries pertaining to the giving program. Meets with non-profit organizations and community leaders to share information, build relationships, and ensure their awareness and understanding of the corporate giving strategy and objectives.

Communicates with Tax Department to ensure proper distribution of relevant client information and provides final review of tax returns. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Provides appropriate and timely performance feedback to those supervised. Conducts internal training courses or seminars on technical subjects.
