House Supervisor

Manages and oversees packaging activities of department engaged in meeting specific marketing, production, shipping, and cost requirements. Reviews production orders to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements. Determines appropriate materials and containers to be used for packaging. Decides specific equipment or machinery to use for operation of specific packaging. Oversees inspection of products prior to packaging and return of rejected products to production departments. Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications. Typically reports to a director and may have supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller companies the manager may be the first level supervisor over subordinate staff.: Works with maintenance department to ensure efficient operation of packaging machinery. Approves requisition of containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations. Monitors production schedules. Determines priority and sequence of operations. Inspects work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications. Keeps and monitors records of work in process. Evaluates and assists in the development and implementation of organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals. Ensures adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization's policies and practices. Organizes resources to ensure effective production of goods. May initiate or authorize employee hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer. Performs related work as required.

Boiler House Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of stationary engineer and other workers operating and maintaining stationary engines and mechanical equipment, such as steam engines, air compressors, vacuum and centrifugal pumps, filters, turbines, boilers, and ventilating and refrigerating equipment. May supervise maintenance repairer, industrial. Performs duties as described under supervisor.

House Mover Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in moving houses and buildings: inspects buildings for structural weaknesses, such as warped joist, dry rot and termite erosion, and inadequate framing. Supervises workers in positioning of beams, cribbing, hydraulic jacks, dollies, chaining of dollies to house beams, and positioning of structure at new site. Directs workers to raise or lower hydraulic jacks at various locations to align house and verifies alignment of house, using transit. Performs other duties as described under supervisor. May supervise workers engaged in demolishing structures, salvaging materials, and removing debris.
