Develops the development and administration of organization training programs. Develops training objectives, strategies, policies, and programs. Directs the implementation of policies and procedures related to various training and educational programs for the employees of an organization. Directs and mentors staff of trainers. Assesses and identifies individual or group training needs, and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs. Prepares a variety of training aids and materials. Typically reports to director level and supervisory level reports to this position.: Keeps informed of new training methods. Determines appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization's training goals and objectives. Analyzes training program effectiveness and submits reports and recommendations to management. Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. Recruits, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Employee Training Supervisor

Supervises the activities related to various training and educational programs for an organization. Supervises staff of training and education specialists who organize and conduct training and educational programs for employee development, orientation, and on-the-job training. Assists in the development of training programs. Typically reports to manager level and is the first level of supervision.: Determines training methods to be used, such as individual or group instruction, conferences, workshops, and demonstrations. Researches and develops handbooks, models, and other teaching aids. Evaluates employee test scores to measure training program effectiveness and reports findings to management. Recommends changes to improve program content, and works with management to achieve corporate training goals. Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Sales Training Representative

Develops, implements, and administers sales training programs to help ensure the effectiveness of sales trainees and sales personnel. : Teaches sales trainees how to develop prospective client lists. Schedules and introduces presentations by internal or outside lecturers, motivational speakers, and sales or product specialists. Reports on individual progress of sales trainees and personnel under guidance during training period. Studies and develops skill in use of better teaching and training methods. Keeps informed on new methods, techniques, and developments in the training and sales field. May assist in developing new training courses associated with the introduction of new products or services.

Develops training programs for equipment operation and preventive maintenance. Manages vendors and consultants to ensure that design is in compliance with standards and that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications and are delivered as required. Provides technical expertise during regulatory audits. Authors, reviews, revises, and/or approves Standard Operating Procedures as required. Provides technical support for utility systems.

HVAC Designer

Performs mechanical design activities from design concept to construction documents, acceptance, testing, and hand-over. Interprets system requirements from system diagrams and develops duct designs and related equipment arrangements in a three-dimensional product model environment. : Performs and reviews load calculations, design specifications, and technical drawings. Maintains familiarity with International Mechanical Codes and Building Codes. Identifies customer requirements, researches solutions, and reviews HVAC systems. Coordinates HVAC with architectural/structural, plumbing, electrical, and other disciplines. Prepares sketches, layout, and detail drawings according to design proposals and standards specifications and practices. Resolves design problems related to manufacturing, material, or quality requirements. Verifies accuracy and completeness of finished drawings. Prepares or assists in preparing material and time estimates and equipment cost comparisons. Utilizes Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment to model systems and components and create complex designs and layouts.

HVAC Mechanic

Installs, services, and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout. : Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor, using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications. Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment. Installs evaporator unit in chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools. Cuts and bends tubing to correct length and shape, using cutting and bending equipment and tools. Cuts and threads pipe, using machine-threading or hand-threading equipment. Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings, or unions, and solders joints, using torch, forming complete circuit for refrigerant. Installs expansion and discharge valves in circuit. Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating-ventilation fans to control panels, and connects control panels to power source. Installs air and water filters in completed installation. Injects small amount of refrigerant into compressor to test systems, and adds Freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure. Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to ensure efficient operation. Tests joints and connections for gas leaks, using gauges or soap-and-water solution. Wraps pipes in insulation batting and secures them in place with cement or wire bands. Replaces defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units, using electrician's hand tools and test equipment. May install, repair, and service air conditioners, ranging from 15 to 20 tons of cooling capacity, in warehouses and factory buildings.
