Welcomes and acknowledges all hotel, motel, or other lodging establishment guests according to company standards; anticipates and addresses guests' service needs; assists individuals with disabilities; and thanks guests. Organizes, confirms, processes, and conducts guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations. Processes and secures payment and verifies and adjusts billing. Provides information to guests concerning rates, availability of rooms, description of facilities and services, and information about area entertainment and attractions, sight-seeing opportunities, and local shopping and dining.: Processes all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting form of payment, assigning room, and issuing, activating, and filing room keys in accordance with property policies and procedures. Responds to and resolves guest requests and relays messages. Identifies and explains room features to guests; supplies guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest. Ensures that any outstanding requests or problems from the previous day receive priority and are resolved. Runs and reviews daily reports/logs. Accepts and records wake-up call requests and delivers to appropriate department. Processes all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges; and provides change. Notifies Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft. Follows all company policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensures uniform and/or personal appearance are clean and professional; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; and protects company assets. Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards. May issue escort instructions to bellhop. May keep records of room availability and guests' accounts. May post charges, such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger. May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arrange for tours. May deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box. May order complimentary flowers or champagne for guests. May rent dock space at marina-hotel.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers in boarding house engaged in providing meals and lodging accommodations for transients and permanent guests: advertises vacancies and shows and rents rooms. Supervises household employees engaged in such tasks as cleaning rooms, issuing linens, and cooking and serving meals. Plans menus and purchases supplies. Collects rents, pays bills, and posts information in records. Resolves complaints regarding food, accommodations, or service. May participate in cleaning and cooking activities. May make minor repairs to building and furnishings. When meal service is not provided, is designated manager, rooming house.
Determines provider compliance throughout a region and recommends appropriate actions.: This position is knowledgeable of investigatory techniques for the detection of inadvertent or intentional fraud. Assists in special investigations and provides support in compliance with requests from enforcement agencies. Researches, handles and assists in resolution of complaints regarding suspected fraud and/or compliance issues. Analyzes documentation and summarizes data gathered from a variety of sources. Interacts with other departments and performs special tasks to include overseeing random examination processes, enforcing membership actions and assessing reports on provider groups or brokers. Provides first line oversight to less experienced Contract Compliance Representatives. Conducts ad hoc investigations. This position typically requires a college degree in math, economics or a related field and at least five years of underwriting experience.
Monitors and coordinates governmental or private health care programs to ensure quality health care and facilitate claim processing; and negotiates contracts for health care programs between insurance companies and health care providers: Analyzes reports and documents regarding health care usage of program participants, utilizing computer; compiles list of recurring health care claims processing issues; develops agenda to address issues; and conducts information and training workshops with employees who process and file claims to resolve claim processing errors. Formulates contract draft of agreement between participants of health care program, utilizing information, such as standard agreement procedures, insurance company policies, and governmental requirements, using computer. Presents health care program contracts to participating parties, discusses modifications suggested by parties involved, and obtains signatures of required representatives on new, renewed, or revised contracts. May monitor phone calls received by medical claim processors to evaluate services offered by employees. May investigate and resolve medical care provider claims reimbursement and program procedural problems. May review evaluation forms completed by workshop participants to determine whether workshop presentation covered processing errors. May specialize in contract negotiations or serve as consultant to facilitate claim processing and be designated Provider Services Specialist (government ser.; insurance; medical ser.).
Supports business development and marketing of the organization's products by maintaining records and promoting products to brokers, third party administrators, self-funded employers, and Human Resources Departments. A bachelor's degree in marketing is typically required for this position with two years of business development or marketing experience.: Maintains the Business Development databases that include proposals, budgets, project costs and analyses, letters, mailings, and contracts. Produces monthly management reports and supports client service and marketing activities. Supports business development activities by assisting with the contracting and marketing of such activities to existing and potential clients. Assists management in the development of business plans, marketing strategies, sales calls, and general marketing of the business development activities of the organization. Conducts ongoing research of new product lines, making recommendations to the appropriate individuals. Facilitates efforts to develop, implement, and refine standard procedures for researching, collecting, and tracking information about clients including contact data, pipelines, and previous outsourcing experiences.
Advises and aids veterans or dependents in presenting disability, insurance, or pension claims for benefits under Federal, State, or local laws. : Reviews legislation, regulations, and precedents and studies veteran's medical report and service history to evaluate and determine validity of claim. Obtains claimant's power of attorney. Prepares claim forms and briefs and assembles pertinent evidence. Requests hearing before government board and presents brief. Reviews board decision for grounds for appeal. Advises veteran on insurance, vocational, and other matters, working in cooperation with Veterans Administration and other agencies. Prepares bulletins and correspondence to acquaint field representatives with current activities and legislation. Participates in or initiates civic functions, such as panel discussions and mass communication programs, to inform public of services rendered and rights and benefits of veterans and dependents. May offer technical advice at congressional or other governmental hearings.
Promotes use of and sells legal drugs and other pharmaceutical products to physicians, dentists, hospitals, and retail and wholesale drug establishments, utilizing knowledge of medical practices, drugs, and medicines.: Calls on customers, informs customer of new drugs, and explains characteristics and clinical studies conducted with drug. Discusses dosage, use, and effect of new drugs and medicinal preparations. Gives samples of new drugs to customer. Promotes and sells other drugs and medicines manufactured by company. May sell and take orders for pharmaceutical supply items from people contacted.
Builds effective provider networks by negotiating contractual agreements with all provider types that pose a mid- to high-level degree of difficulty to ensure consistency with corporate goals and budget. Acts as a professional resource to answer most contractual questions posed by providers and assists providers with more difficult problems they cannot get resolved through normal channels. Conducts in-services and workshops, responds to ARs in a timely manner, and calls on network providers on a regular basis, or as needed, to ensure provider contract compliance and provider satisfaction. Reports directly to the Network Development Manager.: Provides reports to management and/or other plan personnel regarding the progress of provider network development. Monitors and reports significant developments occurring within the provider community to management to ensure company is appropriately advised and strategically aligned on network issues. Acts as point of contact for providers by monitoring and overseeing the implementation of providers in the network as well as providing all the materials and paperwork necessary to participate in networks, such as credentialing and all e-business and electronic services offered by the company to ensure efficiencies, provider satisfaction, and goals of the department for timely setup are met.
Sells automotive leasing services to businesses and individuals. Visits prospective customers to stimulate interest in establishing or expanding automotive-leasing programs. Explains advantages of leasing automotive equipment, such as tax savings and reduced capital expenditures.: Recommends types and number of vehicles needed to satisfactorily perform job with minimal expense. Computes leasing charges, based on such factors as length of contract, anticipated mileage, and applicable taxes. Prepares and sends leasing contract to leasing agency. Performs other tasks to increase sales, such as evaluating advertising campaigns or revising administrative procedures.
Sells dental equipment and supplies, except drugs and medicines, to doctors, dentists, hospitals, medical schools, and retail establishments. : Studies data describing new products to develop sales approach. Compiles data on equipment and supplies preferred by customers. Advises customers of equipment for given need based on technical knowledge of products. Provides customers with advice in such areas as office layout, legal and insurance regulations, cost analysis, and collection methods to develop goodwill and promote sales.
