Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of sales function for an assigned region in accordance with strategic objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan sales objectives, to develop sales policies, and to coordinate functions in the assigned region.: Evaluates the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Directs all sales personnel. Ensures that Regional Sales Managers and Representatives keep informed of changes in region that might affect product sales. Makes forecasts on anticipated market sales. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policies and assists in promoting sales. Directs preparation of reports. Formulates and recommends policies and programs. Interprets and enforces company policies and practices. Ensures the adequacy of training programs. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Regional Sales Manager Retail

Oversees operations of retail stores in assigned region. Manages the strategic direction of stores within the assigned region, within broad company objectives. Develops and implements short- and long-term marketing plans for sales growth. Typically this job oversees Zone or District Managers; the next level in the organization above this job is typically a Division Vice President or General Manager. Interprets accounts and records to management. Meets with managers to develop, review, and discuss plans for regional development. May be responsible for sales budget.

Point of Sale System Manager

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Exclude 'Network and Computer Systems Administrators' (15-1071).

Confers with company officials to plan and develop methods and procedures to increase sales, lower costs, and obtain greater efficiency. Interprets, implements, and enforces company policies. Prepares and submits activity reports. Develops a sales budget to insure conformance to organization sales goals and objectives. May reconcile earned commissions with commission advances on sales personnel.

Sales Account Manager

Represents company at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote product. Acts as liaison between sales and other departments. Participates in budget preparation. Assists other departments within establishment to prepare manuals and technical publications. Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volumes and potential sales. Interprets company policy to ensure company objectives are met. Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. Promotes satisfactory customer relations. Works closely with company personnel to ensure prompt service to customers. Keeps informed on company contract procedures and product pricing. May direct staffing and training to develop sales program.

Route Sales Manager

Manages and leads a service and product delivery team to achieve customer service, sales, and product distribution goals. Participates in the design of territories that optimize organizational effectiveness while achieving customer retention goals. Assigns work projects and monitors group schedules to ensure optimum efficiency and rapid turnaround.: Establishes goals and objectives for employees. Manages daily planning and execution of customer service and technical support to ensure customers receive the best service possible. Prioritizes customer presence and staff work load with top customers and manages customer retention. Develops and maintains field sales communication system to report customer quality, preventative maintenance needs, and local opportunities that could impact overall order entry and/or sales and budget plans. Manages P/L for all expenses, reconciliations of fixed asset inventory, revenue billings, internal G/L cost transaction, and formal reporting. Establishes inventory levels for parts and equipment to support the region's customer locations. Observes and reports competitive activity within the territory and recommends solutions to the Route Sales Director. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures. Provides staffing, training, guidance, and coaching for service and product delivery team.
