Financial Analysis Director

Guides and directs financial analysis, evaluation, and report generation activities of current and proposed financial plans in a manner designed to protect assets, meet reporting requirements, provide timely, meaningful reporting of operations, and effectively plan for and audit the financial needs of the firm. Oversees the financial analysis staff. Typically reports to Financial Top Officer and Financial Analysis Manager reports to this position.: Protects company assets through development and implementation of sound accounting policies and procedures. Provides for sound and timely managerial decisions and controls through provision of analyzed and evaluated financial operational data and information to management. Provisions adequate capital to meet current and future needs through development of an economical capital structure. Ensures optimum utilization of financial resources through sound forecasting and cash management. Minimizes tax liabilities through planning, researching, executing, and defending all Federal, State, local and foreign taxes applicable to the corporation. Ensures continuing departmental effectiveness through selection, training, development, and motivation of a competent staff.

Patient Financial Services Director

Plans and directs business office operations of the medical facility to ensure that revenue management functions meet customer and organizational requirements. Plans and directs business office operations to include such functions as admitting, patient registration, billing, collections, and insurance claims. Typically requires a college degree in business and related managerial experience.: Assists in coordinating and maintaining patient financial services programs to ensure compliance with current payments, rules, and regulations that impact the medical center and/or physician's billing and collections process. Monitors and ensures compliance with Medicare and Medicaid documentation guidelines. Monitors and evaluates current reimbursement/payment rules and ensures that legislative and regulatory changes impacting medical billing are anticipated and communicated to the clinical faculty, staff, and departmental billing personnel. Develops techniques for effective analyses of billing and collections efforts. Oversees resolution of third party denials and assists with reimbursement appeals and problems. Prepares financial reports and analyses to show progress or adverse trends and makes appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Assists in identification of new technologies that will improve departmental operations. Develops departmental strategies to meet cash projection formulas, reduce days in Accounts Receivable, and reduce denials. Ensures compliance with State and Federal law, compliance plans, HIPAA, and JCAHO guidelines. Prepares and manages the departmental budget. Hires, develops, and motivates a qualified Patient Financial Services staff. May provide assistance to physicians in determining appropriate use of codes for maximizing reimbursement of physician services.

Financial Institution Manager

Manages branch or office of financial institutions, such as commercial bank, credit union, finance company, mortgage company, savings bank, or trust company: directs and coordinates activities to implement institution policies, procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, commercial loans, real estate loans, and consumer credit loans. Directs, through subordinate supervisors, activities of workers engaged in implementing establishment services and performing such functions as collecting delinquent accounts, authorizing loans, or opening savings account. Establishes procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping. Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business. May prepare financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, and board of directors. May examine, evaluate, and process loan applications. May recommend securities to board or corporate officers for institution investment. May talk to customers to resolve account problems. May interview and hire workers. May evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budget. May plan and develop methods and procedures for carrying out activities of establishment. May be designated according to type of financial institution managed, as manager, branch bank; manager, commercial bank; manager, credit union; manager, finance company; manager, mortgage company; manager, savings bank; manager, trust c.

Financial Analysis Supervisor

Supervises, coordinates, documents, and participates in professional level analyses of information affecting financial and accounting programs of public, industrial, and/or financial organizations. Interprets data concerning investments, their price, yield, stability, and future trends, using financial periodicals, securities manuals, and personal interviews. May oversee a number of clerical and financial analyst staff members. This position typically reports to a manager and is the first level of supervision in the organization.: Constructs charts and graphs regarding investments, revenues, expenses, budgets, trends, and various other financial areas. Summarizes data setting forth current and long-term trends in investment risks and measurable economic influences pertinent to status of investments. May perform research and make analyses relative to losses and adverse financial trends and suggest remedial measures.

Substance Abuse Counselor

Counsels and aids individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse. Formulates program for treatment and rehabilitation of client, using knowledge of drug and alcohol abuse problems and counseling and treatment techniques. Usually requires certification by State or other governing body.: Interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate condition of client. Counsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist clients in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency. Counsels family members to assist family in dealing with and providing support for client. Refers client to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services. Monitors condition of client to evaluate success of therapy, and adapts treatment as needed. Prepares and maintains reports and case histories. May formulate and conduct programs to promote prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. May prepare documents for presentation in court and accompany client to court as needed.

Residence Counselor

Evaluates students' abilities, interests, talents, and personality characteristics in order to develop appropriate academic and career goals. Provides individual and group guidance services relative to problems of scholastic, educational, and personal-social nature to students. Usual requirement is a minimum of a bachelor's degree in field of specialty. Excludes paraprofessional positions.: Suggests remedial or corrective actions and assists students in making better adjustments and in planning intelligent life goals. Plans and directs program to orient students and assists in their integration into scholastic life. Investigates reports of misconduct and attempts to resolve or eliminate causes of conflict. Advises clients about education and training opportunities, careers, and job-finding skills. Promotes and develops job openings and places qualified applicant in an appropriate employment setting. Monitors progress, satisfaction and concerns in employment. Communicates with employers, vocational funding agencies and other agencies. This position typically requires a Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling. Documents services delivered, prepares clinical summaries, and maintains reports and case histories. May talk with employers or co-workers about accommodations that benefit the disabled individual.
