Nursing Skilled Nursing Facility Director

Directs administrative and clinical functions provided by a skilled nursing facility or a division of a skilled nursing facility.: This position requires license as a Registered Nurse with five years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility. Must be skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. Performs in a leadership capacity for clinical practice, supervision, teaching, and research. Coordinates activities of the nursing specialty units under management with other patient care units. Laundry Manager Resident Facility

Manages and coordinates activities of a resident facility laundry. Supervises laundry staff and plans laundering schedules. Typically requires supervisory experience within a laundry facility.: Directs workers engaged in receiving, marking, washing, and ironing uniforms or linen in laundry. Determines laundering schedules to provide quick and efficient service. Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment. Maintains records of operations and preparing reports. Inspects finished laundered articles to ensure conformance to standards. Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies. Interprets organization policy to employees and enforces safety regulations. Observes operation of machines and equipment to detect possible malfunctions. Hires, trains, and motivates a qualified laundry services staff. Analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions. May allocate operating budgets funds.

Skilled Nursing Facility Head

Provides executive management of daily operations of a skilled nursing facility.: Oversees and determines the effectiveness of operations and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Plans, installs, directs, coordinates, and evaluates an administrative management organization within the facility to integrate functions such as fiscal planning and controls, staffing, procurement and storekeeping, grounds and building maintenance, transportation, communication, housekeeping, dietary, and safety programs. Ensures continuity and consistency in delivery and quality of services. Develops and implements an annual business plan that achieves financial goals while meeting reasonable customer expectations. Prepares staffing schedules to ensure that adequate numbers of appropriately trained professional and auxiliary personnel are on duty at all times to meet the needs of residents. Resolves problems encountered by nursing home staff, medical staff, visitors, or residents. Manages, coordinates, and evaluates the staff and services for the nursing facility. Implements programs and changes to enhance resident satisfaction and provide for new or prospective resident needs. Maintains high occupancy by developing and implementing marketing strategies. Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures. Hires, trains and motivates a qualified staff. Prepares and manages the operational budget. Confers and cooperates with management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies. Maintains and communicates policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility. This position typically requires a college degree in a related field and five years of experience in continuing care operations management.

Director Youth Correctional Facility

Directs administration of institution, such as prison or youth correctional facility: coordinates educational, security, recreational, and rehabilitation programs. Directs operation and maintenance of facilities, such as laundry, cafeteria, buildings, and grounds. Recommends parole or discharge of persons under jurisdiction of institution. Directs recruitment and training of staff. Confers with staff to formulate and institute policies and regulations. Compiles and analyzes expenditures and projected costs, and prepares reports for officials. Prepares budget and monitors expenditures. May be designated according to type of institution, such as director, school for blind; director, youth correctional facility. May work in federal or state prison and be designated warden.

Superintendent Industries Correctional Facility

Directs and coordinates vocational work programs in governmental correctional institution: confers with administrative and supervisory staff of prison to schedule work programs consistent with security regulations, maintenance needs, and established vocational policy. Interviews and assigns inmates to vocational rehabilitation programs or work details in conformity with their education, previous skills, and available facilities of institution. Plans production assignments to meet output requirements and vocational instruction schedule. Establishes production standards and plans layout according to capacity of equipment, qualifications of staff, and procurement specifications of customers for prison-made products. Inspects equipment and facilities to recommend maintenance and replacement of obsolete machinery. Inventories and requisitions supplies to maintain efficient production. May prepare design drawings for production, according to customer specifications. May negotiate with purchasers to conclude contracts for manufactured products. May evaluate adequacy of vocational instruction and recommend changes in established curriculum, policies, and standards.

Aquatic Facility Manager

Manages sea circus facility: establishes operational procedures relating to purchasing, accounting, and budgeting. Hires and coordinates activities of subordinates and performers. Reviews operational expense and other financial reports for accuracy and budget preparation. Inspects facility for compliance with occupational, health, and safety regulations.

Recreation Facility Manager

Manages recreation facilities, such as tennis courts, golf courses, or arcade, and coordinates activities of workers engaged in providing services of facility: determines work activities necessary to operate facility, hires workers, and assigns specific tasks and work hours, accordingly. Initiates projects, such as promotional mailing or telephone campaigns, to acquaint public with activities of facility. Discusses fees of facility with interested persons. Registers patrons and explains rules and regulations. Confers with patrons to resolve grievances. Hires workers, such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to make needed facility repairs. Maintains financial records. Collects coins from arcade machines. Purchases items such as golf balls, tennis balls, and paper supplies.

Resident and Facility Services Director

Directs and coordinates facility service programs within a resident retirement facility.: Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the staff and services for the residents and all facility service programs. Oversees and supervises resident moves and transfers within the retirement facility. Maintains department compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies. Directs and supervises the work of staff in providing resident moves and transfers. Develops, maintains and implements policies and procedures. Confers and cooperates with management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies. This position typically requires a college degree in a related field and five or more years of experience in assisted living operations.
