Associate Executive Director Operations

Participates in directing, planning, controlling, and coordinating the operating activities of an organization toward the achievement of established objectives, including the operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives. Assists in the design, operation, and improvement of the system that creates and delivers the organization's products or services. Assists with the development of organization's policies, practices, and attainment of operating goals, ensuring efficient and effective execution of policies and procedures.: Analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of organizational operations. Chief Research & Development Executive

Oversees all activities and directs staff of supervisory, professional, and support personnel concerned with planning, research, and development of new or improvement of existing products, processes, and services, and new ventures. Plans, develops, and establishes policies, procedures, and objectives of all the organization's research and development functions in accordance with organization's objectives. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer and the Research & Development Director reports directly to this position.: Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if strategic benefits are derived and if possible applications justify expenditures. Reviews and decides upon research and development proposals to be presented to top management. Approves and monitors research and development budget. Ensures organization remains up-to-date in terms of technological changes, and communicates that information to appropriate directors and managers throughout the organization.

Information Systems Top Executive

Develops, leads, administers, and coordinates all phases of an organization's computer department, including systems design, programming, installation, and operation. Works with the CEO and Board of Directors, setting the short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the organization. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operations Officer and has directors reporting to this position.: Identifies and communicates the strategic objectives and determines specific information requirements for management. Reviews and evaluates project feasibility studies based on management's requirements and priorities. Works with the CEO and Board of Directors to provide the framework for planning and communication. Investor Relations Top Executive

Oversees and coordinates the investor and shareholder relations function and activities of employees engaged in maintaining and improving the relationships between the organization and various investors such as shareholders, the banking community, the investing public, financial investors, and institutional investors. Typically reports to Financial Top Officer and supervises directors and managers.: Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status of work activities. Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. Develops, implements, and maintains systems that provide control of investor and shareholder relations and improve the marketability of organization's stocks and bonds. Maintains awareness of current and possible up-coming issues which may affect the organization. Receives and disseminates information on competitors through various means, such as briefings, press conferences, company websites, and company annual reports. Advises management regarding matters, such as effective use of resources and methods for increasing and obtaining goals. Interprets company policy to employees. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Long-Range Planning Executive

Establishes company objectives, develops strategic plans, and identifies company strengths and weaknesses in order to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability, in concert with other top management members. Evaluates, plans, and develops organization policies and goals and growth and structural program objectives. Typically reports to CEO and has directors and managers reporting to this position.: Coordinates activities of department among other departments, such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, or research and development, to effect operational efficiency and economy and to ensure consistency in organization's long-term planning. Analyzes and focuses on new markets, mergers, and acquisitions, identifying business opportunities, increasing share of market, and obtaining competitive position in industry. Prepares, analyzes, and monitors budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget. Reviews company and department activity and operating reports. Promotes organization in industry trade associations.

Executive Vice President Chamber of Commerce

Directs activities of chamber of commerce to promote business, industrial and job development, and civic improvements in community: administers programs of departments and committees which perform such functions as providing members economic and marketing information, promoting economic growth and stability in community, and counseling business organizations and industry on problems affecting local economy. Coordinates work with that of other community agencies to provide public services. Writes and gives speeches to government, and business organizations to create greater understanding between community, government, and business organizations. Prepares and submits annual budget to elected official for approval. Studies governmental legislation, taxation, and other fiscal matters to determine effect on community interests, and makes recommendations based on organizational policy.

Hospital Top Professional Services Executive

Directs activities of multiple professional services units of a hospital. Organizational units may include but are not limited to three or more of the following professional areas: clinical divisions, pharmacy, social services, diagnostic imaging, laboratories, etc. Typically reports directly to the Hospital Administrator.: Coordinates activities with those of other hospital departments. Establishes policies and procedures in cooperation with other hospital officials. Interprets and administers personnel policies and provides for training program. Reviews activities and recommends changes in, or better utilization of, facilities, services, and staff. Establishes and maintains work schedules and assignments of resident professional staff members. Authorizes purchase of supplies and equipment. Prepares and submits budget, records, reports, and statistical data.

Executive Director Red Cross

Directs and coordinates operations of nonprofit agency to provide blood, medical care, financial aid, and other special services: oversees agency volunteer operations in areas such as blood donor program, nursing, and financial assistance to assure program adherence to agency charter. Participates in community activities to develop opportunities to ascertain needs, serve clients, and promote agency goals. Establishes and maintains close working relationships with cooperating agencies to avoid duplication of services. Prepares budget in consultation with departmental directors to allocate funds, control costs, and maintain operations at level consistent with agency guidelines.
