Banking Loan Manager Commercial

Manages commercial loan department of a financial institution. Coordinates activities to implement institution's commercial loan policies, procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit and loan activities. Develops or approves commercial lending policies and interest rate structures. Typically requires a four-year college degree in addition to job experience in a related field. NOTE--ERI's findings based on asset size.: Authorizes loans that exceed staff authority. Provides subordinate officers with functional guidance. Reviews loan applications for completeness. Analyzes applicant's financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan request. May correspond with or interview applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application. Contacts customers, businesses, and community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business. May prepare financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, and Board of Directors. May examine and evaluate loan applications. May interview and hire workers. May evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budget. May plan and develop methods and procedures for carrying out activities of department.

Banking Loan Officer Commercial

Provides services for wide variety of business loans, which may be secured or unsecured. Interviews applicants and examines, evaluates, and authorizes or recommends approval of customer applications for commercial loans and lines of credit. May supervise loan personnel. Typically requires a four-year college degree in a related or appropriate field; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Interviews applicant and requests specified information for commercial loan application. Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or may submit application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation. Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Approves commercial loans and lines of credit within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval. Lesser experienced loan officers operate with moderate credit authority where more experienced senior loan officers operate with substantial credit authority involving large amounts of money or important customers. Ensures commercial loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. May confer with underwriter to aid in resolving application problems. May analyze potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans. May solicit and negotiate conventional or government secured loans on commission basis.

Commercial Designer

Creates and designs graphic material for use as ornamentation, illustration, advertising, or cosmetic on manufactured materials and packaging. Receives assignment from customer or supervisor. Studies traditional, period, and contemporary design styles and motifs to obtain perspective. Reviews marketing trends and preferences of target and related markets. Integrates findings with personal interests, knowledge of design, and limitations presented by methods and materials. : Creates, draws, modifies, and changes design to achieve desired effect. Confers with customer or supervisor regarding approval or desired changes to design. May be required to have specialized knowledge of material designed. May prepare original artwork and design model. May perform related duties, such as fabricating silk-screens, drawing full size patterns, or cutting stencils. May work with specific items, such as signs, packaging, wallpaper, ceramics, tile, glassware, monograms, crests, emblems, or embroidery.

Insurance Commercial Property Underwriter

Reviews individual applications for insurance to evaluate degree of risk involved and accepts applications, following company's underwriting policies. Examines such documents as application form, inspection report, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine degree of risk from such factors as applicant's financial standing, age, occupation, accident experience, and value and condition of real property. : Reviews company records to ascertain amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks, and evaluates possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance. Declines risks that are too excessive to obligate company. Dictates correspondence for field representatives, medical personnel, and other insurance or inspection companies to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company's underwriting policies. When risk is excessive, authorizes reinsurance, or when risk is substandard, limits company's obligation by decreasing value of policy, specifying applicable endorsements, or applying rating to ensure safe and profitable distribution of risks, using rate books, tables, code books, and other reference material. Typically workers who underwrite one type of insurance do not underwrite others and are designated according to type of insurance underwritten.

Appraiser Commercial

Appraises improved or unimproved commercial property to determine value for purchase, sale, investment, mortgage, or loan purposes. Typically requires a four-year college degree in a related or appropriate field; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Interviews people familiar with property and takes measurements. Inspects property for construction, condition, and functional design. Computes depreciation and reproduction costs. Considers location and trends or impending changes that could influence future value of property. Searches public records of sales, leases, assessments, and other transactions. Compiles data and estimates value of property. Submits report to corroborate value established.

Commercial Broadcast Engineer

Plans use of facilities connecting stations comprising a network to cover changing conditions and requirements. Evaluates technical capabilities of facilities, according to availability and range, to obtain most effective method of transmission. Ensures radio or television program elements are smoothly transmitted and transmissions meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements. A related degree in engineering is required. Excludes supervisory and paraprofessional positions.: Reviews network program schedule to be linked to network stations, and projects use of facilities. Subdivides facilities linking network stations for simultaneous broadcasting of different programs to stations. Tests facilities prior to broadcast time to determine readiness of transmission line. May prepare engineering estimates of equipment installations or modification of existing equipment. May utilize digital or multi-cast equipment.

Banking Loan Collector Commercial

Coordinates activities to collect delinquent commercial loans. Reviews files of commercial loans in default to determine collateral held by bank. Typically requires a four-year college degree in addition to job experience in a related field.: Writes letter to customer to demand payment of loan balance. Calls or visits customer to determine if repayment plan can be established. Computes repayment schedule. Determines if status of customer's financial position prevents repayment of loan and justifies re-classifying loan as non-revenue producing. Initiates collateral liquidation when customer does not repay loan. Petitions court to transfer title and deeds of collateral to bank. Coordinates maintenance and repairs to property. Coordinates activities to maintain income flow related to seized assets, such as notifying renters to mail payments to financial institution. Calls real estate broker to initiate sale of real estate. Calls auctioneer or liquidation specialist to sell specified property, such as machines, equipment, and inventory at public auction. Specifies changes to bank records on value of loan. May testify at legal proceedings.

Drafter Commercial

Performs general duties of drafter in all-round drafting, such as laying out location of buildings, planning of arrangements in offices, large rooms, store buildings, and factories, and drawing of charts, forms, and records. Paints and washes colored drawings when required.
