Pharmacy Manager

Organizes and oversees the daily activities of the Pharmacy Department, including staff work schedules and resource allocation. Manages and directs the pharmacy processes and activities of personnel to ensure the efficient and timely dispensing of medications to clients and compliance with all relevant laws. : Ensures that the department complies with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. Develops departmental policies and procedures. Oversees the financial operations of the pharmacy, including assisting in preparing budgets and reporting operational and financial data. Acts as a liaison with the medical community. Manages and coordinates the activities of the pharmacy staff. Provides drug consultation services when required. Coordinates patient services with the Nursing, Delivery, and Reimbursement Departments. Oversees the purchasing, control, and security of all drug products and medical supplies. Participates in employee reviews. May prepare medication emergency kits if required.

Pharmacy Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department in the areas of staff supervision, maintenance of clinical programs, effective intra- and inter-departmental communication, workload assignment, and proper allocation of pharmacy resources to deliver quality patient care. Assists in the implementation, management, and maintenance of pharmacy-related software products. Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency and operation, and data integrity. Assists in the interviewing, selection, coaching, development, and training of department staff.

Pharmacy Associate

Assists Pharmacists in filling orders, checking prices, and stocking shelves in a retail pharmacy establishment. Serves customers at a pharmacy counter and processes purchases. Typically requires on-the-job training.: Takes customer orders, delivers customer orders, computes charges, handles payment, and enters data in computer. Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods. Types and files reports and completes forms as directed. Assists in receiving and storing supplies, stocking shelves, checking prices, and maintaining inventory.

Registered Nurse

Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital, nursing home, infirmary, or similar health care facility. May prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and hand items to Surgeon, Obstetrician, or other medical practitioner. May make beds, bathe, and feed patients. May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.

Registered Health Information Technician

Reviews the medical record documentation to assure specificity of diagnoses, procedures, and appropriate/optimal reimbursement for hospital and/or professional charges and accurately codes and sequences the primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and CPT coding conventions. Typically requires a college degree in medical health records and CCS certification by the American Health Information Management Association or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).: Coordinates and reviews the work of designated employees to ensure quality and quantity of work performed through regular audits. Assists with research and development and presentation of continuing education programs on areas of specialization. Abstracts and compiles data from medical records for optimal reimbursement for hospital and/or professional charges. Consults with and educates physicians on coding practices and conventions.
