Monitors stations, records intercepted transmissions, and forwards transcripts for decoding. May operate sound-recording equipment to preserve broadcast for analysis by other intelligence personnel.

Passport Application Examiner

Approves applications for united states passports and related privileges and services: reviews information on applications, such as applicant's birthplace and birthplaces of applicant's parents, to determine eligibility according to nationality laws and governmental policies. Reads instructions accompanying material, or follows verbal instructions from supervisor or person requesting document, to determine format desired, number of copies needed, priority, and other requirements. Types and revises material such as correspondence, reports, statistical tables, addresses, and forms, from rough draft, corrected copy, recorded voice dictation, or previous version displayed on screen, using typewriter or computer and word processing software. May verify totals on report forms, requisitions, or bills. May operate duplicating machine to reproduce copy. Business Intelligence Analyst

Analyzes historical, current, and predictive views of business operations, most often using data already gathered into a data warehouse or a data mart and occasionally working from operational data. Relies on skills, knowledge, technologies, applications, quality, risks, security issues, and practices used to help the business acquire a better understanding of market behavior and commercial context. Assists in the collection, extraction, integration, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and reporting of business information.: Analyzes business performance, which may include, production, financial, and many other sources of business data for purposes that include business performance management. Teams with program managers to produce timely customer deliverables and define reporting and data requirements. Collaborates with clients to define business rules associated with data input and tracking and to understand and define their business objectives and goals. Designs and leads program strategy based on nature of customer data, processes, and needs. Works with other Business Analysts to define requirements and design, develop, and implement automated solutions and processes across all managed programs. Performs analysis to validate the accuracy of data being reported and provides trend and early-warning analysis. Monitors, tracks, and understands industry trends and the factors that drive them.

Applications Programming Manager

Manages and coordinates the development, creation, installation, and maintenance of computer programs to process data using business and scientific applications. Oversees and reviews work of programming personnel, and gives technical support and guidance. Analyzes workflow and assigns or schedules work to meet priorities and goals. May report to director level, is typically the second level of management, and may have first level supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller companies the manager may be the first level supervisor over subordinate staff.: Directs daily operations of department and coordinates project activities with other departments. Directs training of subordinates in programming and program coding. Develops and interprets organization goals, policies, and procedures, and reviews project plans. Approves, prepares, monitors, and adjusts department budget, and prepares required records and reports. Participates in staffing decisions.

Develops programs from workflow charts or diagrams, considering factors, such as computer storage capacity and speed, extent of peripheral equipment, and intended use of output data. Converts workflow charts to language that can be processed by computer. Enters program codes into computer. Enters test data into computer. Analyzes test runs on computer to correct or direct correction of coded program and input data. Revises or directs revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. Trains subordinates in programming and program coding. Prescribes standards for terms and symbols used to simplify interpretation of programs. Collaborates with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Prepares records and reports.
