Project Manager (Revenue)

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Typically reports to a director and may have supervisors reporting to this position. NOTE--ERI's findings based on revenue.: Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. In larger organizations may have the responsibility of managing project supervisors/leaders assigned to specific projects. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. May manage sub-contractors and their workforce. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Housing Project Manager

Directs operations of housing project to provide low-income or military families, welfare recipients, or other eligible individuals with furnished or unfurnished housing in single or multiunit dwellings or house trailers: develops and implements plans for administration of housing project and procedures for making housing assignments. Reviews occupancy reports to ensure that applications, selection of tenants and assignment of dwelling units are in accordance with rules and regulations. Conducts surveys of local rental rates and participates in setting of rental rates according to occupants' income and accommodation requirements. Prepares operational budget requests and receives accounts for and disburses funds. Conducts analyses of management and maintenance costs to determine areas where cost reductions can be effected. Plans long range schedule of major repairs on units, such as reroofing or painting exterior of dwellings. Studies housing demands occupancy and turnover rates and accommodation requirements of applicants to recommend policy and physical requirement changes. Promotes harmonious relations among tenants, housing project personnel, and persons of the community. Directs work activities of office and clerical staff in processing applications, collecting of rents and accounting for monies collected, and assigns building and grounds maintenance personnel to specific duties. Requisitions furnishings and furniture for housing units. May direct activities of other management personnel in housing project having commercial shops, concessions, theater, library, and recr.

Systems Project Manager

Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of business solutions designed to meet requirements of various departments in the company, such as distribution, finance, and manufacturing. Designs project plans, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel. Determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project. Coordinates the development of new systems and/or applications projects, the modification of existing systems or applications, or changes in current methods or techniques. Coordinates project performance with the other work of the affected department or departments. This position typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with five to seven years of experience. Excludes those who do not have full time responsibilities for project management.: Performs feasibility studies to ensure systems adhere to standards and meet user requirements. Conducts financial and budgetary analysis to define project worth and to ascertain which system best fits user needs and company standards. Selects project team members and assigns tasks and responsibilities. Provides direction and technical guidance to project team members. Acts as liaison between implementation personnel, management, and vendors by conducting meetings to review project details and obtain approval and signoffs. Diagnoses and corrects system problems with help from vendors and support team. Oversees production of all deliverables and assesses and enforces project deadlines and works within budget restraints. Processes working knowledge of technical resources such as operating systems, programming languages, and hardware.

Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, pulse, navigation, auto pilot, and compass systems, installed in aircraft and space vehicles, using hand tools and test equipment. : Inspects components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of assembly and installation. Tests avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools. Calibrates installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications. Adjusts frequencies of radio sets by signaling ground station and turning setscrews. Must possess Radiotelephone License issued by Federal Communications Commission. May accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and to determine and record required post-flight repair work. May sign overhaul documents for equipment replaced or repaired. May operate ground station for air-to-station check of radar or other equipment.

Controls Project Engineer

Designs and drafts systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment, applying knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Designs and drafts components of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication devices, and other related equipment applying knowledge of electrical engineering and drafting. A bachelor's degree is required for most positions; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined. Requires knowledge of computer-aided design and its use as a design tool. Excludes supervisory positions.: Discusses project with supervisor and engineering department to review functions of machines and equipment. Diagrams logic system for functions such as sequence and timing control. Designs and drafts diagrams of cable connection for robots, robot end-of-arm tool, robot controller, and other machines. Illustrates and describes installation and maintenance details, such as where bearings should be lubricated, types of lubrication, and which parts are lubricated automatically and manually. Reviews schematics with customer's representatives to answer questions during installation of robot systems. Observes gauges during trial run of programmed machine and equipment operation to verify that electrical signals in system conform to specifications. May confer with assembler and wirer to resolve problems regarding building of controls systems. May design controls for energy conversion or other industrial plant monitoring systems.

Electrical Project Engineer

Manages electrical projects, including design, engineering, estimating, scheduling, obtaining contractor quotes, directing crews, and training operating and maintenance personnel. Collaborates with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems.: Participates in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, technical report writing, and developing computations, drawings, and specifications for concept through final design. Prepares standard specifications related to various electrical systems. Provides input to project proposal development. Reviews and/or develops project electrical drawings, and monitors field installations for compliance with specifications and applicable codes and standards. Prepares and reviews equipment and material specifications. Develops project work plans, and organizes scheduling of specific tasks and assignments. Ensures that projects meet budget goals and schedule deadlines. Performs quantity estimates and construction cost estimates. Assists in performance of equipment compliance and acceptance testing. Collaborates with clients, sub-contractors, project construction, and operations personnel. Interfaces with suppliers for field support of various equipment and systems.

Engineer Project

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements. Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing, in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff. An experienced project engineer may have responsibility for technical direction of other lower level project engineers or field engineers.: Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Prepares interim and completion project reports.
