Provides establishment personnel assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations and work performance problems within establishment to facilitate communication and improve employee human relations skills and work performance. Talks informally with establishment personnel and attends meetings of managers, supervisors, and work units to facilitate effective interpersonal communication among participants and to ascertain human relations and work related problems that adversely affect employee morale and establishment productivity. : Evaluates human relations and work-related problems and meets with supervisors and managers to determine effective remediation techniques, such as job skill training or personal intervention, to resolve human relations issues among personnel. Develops and conducts training to instruct establishment managers, supervisors, and workers in human relations skills, such as supervisory skills, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal communication skills, and effective group interaction skills. Schedules individuals for technical job-related skills training to improve individual work performance. May participate in resolving labor relations issues. May assist in screening applicants for establishment training programs. May write employee newsletter. May operate audiovisual equipment to review or for giving presentations for training program.
Performs assigned duties, under direction of experienced personnel, to gain knowledge and experience required for promotion to management positions. Receives training and performs duties in several departments, such as credit, customer relations, accounting, or sales, to become familiar with line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business. : Observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties. Manages and oversees the construction of retail stores in an assigned region. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools and equipment and various building methods.: Visits construction sites. Inspects the work of contractors. Collaborates with contractors to resolve any issues and escalates any unresolved issues. Orders store fixtures and/or furnishings. Tracks and records expenses. Reviews status reports prepared by contractors and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management. Provides technical advice as needed.
Drives new and existing sales within a geographic area while managing, coaching, and developing a team of Customer Service Representatives. Trains in a specific geographic area with the customer service team until able to demonstrate the ability to work as an independent Customer Service Manager and a position is available.: Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships and mutually beneficial business relationships with clients. Ensures outstanding customer service including customer contract retention, professional customer service, management of accounts receivable, accurate reporting, and resolution of any customer concerns within an assigned geographic area. Makes sales presentations to prospective customers. Informs customers of new products, promotional products, and any special services. Addresses service complaints and works to resolve them. Coordinates and communicates customer complaints and possible resolutions to manager in a timely manner. Adheres to all company, local, State, and Federal polices, guidelines, and regulations. Files daily sales reports via computer and completes all paperwork. Accounts for and turns in all forms of payment collected each working day at the designated depository in accordance with corporate procedures.
Manages and oversees activities of workers in one or more service departments, such as tire repairer and garage servicer, of automobile accessories sales-service establishment. The manager level is typically the second level of management and may have first level supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller companies the manager may be a first level supervisor over subordinate staff.: Assists sales personnel in adjusting customers' service complaints. Directs activities of workers engaged in testing new equipment and recommends purchase or rejection of equipment. Determines work standards and evaluates workers' performance. Hires, transfers, and discharges workers. May handle claims regarding defective factory work quality. May determine need and cost of automobile repair.
