Banking Head of Retail Banking

Directs and coordinates, through subordinate managerial personnel, activities of retail consumer products and services division. Scope of responsibilities typically include new accounts, branch operations, customer service, marketing, personal banking, private banking, and tellers. Service Manager Automotive

Manages and oversees activities of workers in one or more service departments, such as tire repairer and garage servicer, of automobile accessories sales-service establishment. The manager level is typically the second level of management and may have first level supervisors reporting to this position; however, in smaller companies the manager may be a first level supervisor over subordinate staff.: Assists sales personnel in adjusting customers' service complaints. Directs activities of workers engaged in testing new equipment and recommends purchase or rejection of equipment. Determines work standards and evaluates workers' performance. Hires, transfers, and discharges workers. May handle claims regarding defective factory work quality. May determine need and cost of automobile repair.

Zone/District Retail Manager

Manages operations of retail stores in assigned district or zone. Typically this job oversees Area Managers; the next level in the organization above this job is a Regional Manager. Analyzes area budgets to identify needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budgets funds. Formulates pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for profitability of store operations. May recruit, hire, and train Area and Store Managers, evaluate performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. May coordinate sales promotion activities. May answer customers' complaints or inquiries.

Regional Sales Manager Retail

Oversees operations of retail stores in assigned region. Manages the strategic direction of stores within the assigned region, within broad company objectives. Develops and implements short- and long-term marketing plans for sales growth. Typically this job oversees Zone or District Managers; the next level in the organization above this job is typically a Division Vice President or General Manager. NOTE--ERI's findings based on sales volume.: Monitors profit and loss and maximizes return on investment. Stimulates, motivates, and develops employees for future growth. May recruit, hire, train, evaluate Zone/District Managers' performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Loss Prevention Retail Manager

Manages all aspects of organization's loss prevention activities, such as asset protection, store safety, training, and oversight of security equipment. Implements and coordinates security and theft prevention programs designed to ensure the protection of company assets and increase profitability. : Reviews reported loss events such as shoplifting, robbery or burglary, destruction or sabotage of company property, employee theft or fraud, or any other internal or external event resulting in loss of company assets. Modifies loss prevention plan to protect against repeat occurrences of loss events. Selects and trains loss prevention personnel, with emphasis on professionalism and safety. Coordinates investigations of loss events, and works with local law enforcement and other prosecuting agencies. Maintains records and reports of loss events, and monitors loss prevention department's contribution to total store shortage reduction. Prepares training materials and may provide training during new employee orientation.

Retail Area Manager

Manages operations of retail stores in assigned geographic area. Supervises Store Managers. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring store activities, such as sales, expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status of store activities. The next organization level above the Area Manager is typically a District or Zone Manager. Recruits, hires, and trains store managers to operate store according to corporate policies. Analyzes store budgets to identify needs and/or reductions, and may allocate operating budgets funds. Ensures compliance with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. May recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. May formulate pricing policies to ensure profitability. May coordinate sales promotion activities and prepare, or supervise preparation of, merchandise displays and advertising copy. May answer customers' complaints or inquiries.

Retail Store Manager (Revenue)

Manages daily operations of a retail store engaged in selling specific lines of merchandise, such as groceries, meat, liquor, apparel, jewelry, or furniture; related lines of merchandise, such as radios, televisions, and household appliances; or general lines of merchandise. Formulates pricing policies to ensure profitability of store operations. Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares or supervises preparation of merchandise displays and advertising copy. Performs and/or supervises employees engaged in taking of and controlling inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily records of transactions. Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Typically the next organization level is an Area Manager and supervisors report to this position. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. Typically accountable for controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, and loss prevention. May hire and train store personnel and maintain employee relations.

Retail Store Assistant Manager (Revenue)

Assists in managing daily operations of a retail store. Performs a variety of duties personally and/or supervises employees performing duties. Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Prepares or directs workers preparing merchandise displays and advertising copy. Performs sales work, takes inventories, reconciles cash with sales receipts, keeps operating records, and/or prepares daily record of transactions. Reports to Store Manager and supervises subordinate staff. NOTE--ERI'S findings based on revenue size.: Acts as manager in manager's absence. Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.

Automotive Engineer

Develops improved or new designs for automotive structural members, engines, transmissions, and associated automotive equipment, or modifies existing equipment on production vehicles, and directs building, modification, and testing of vehicle, using computerized work aids. A related engineering degree is required. Excludes supervisory and paraprofessional positions.: Conducts experiments and tests on existing designs and equipment to obtain data on function of and performance of equipment. Analyzes data to develop new designs for motors, chassis, and other related mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical components and systems in automotive equipment. Designs components and systems to provide maximum customer value and vehicle function, including improved economy and safety of operation, control of emissions, and operational performance, at optimum costs. Directs and coordinates building, or modification of, automotive equipment or vehicle to ensure conformance with engineering design. Directs testing activities on components and equipment under designated conditions to ensure operational performance meets design specifications. Alters or modifies design to obtain specified functional and operational performance. May provide guidance to drafters and designers in developing structural design for auto body. May conduct research studies to develop new concepts in automotive engineering field. May use computer assisted software to prepare designs.

Sales Representative Automotive Leasing

Sells automotive leasing services to businesses and individuals. Visits prospective customers to stimulate interest in establishing or expanding automotive-leasing programs. Explains advantages of leasing automotive equipment, such as tax savings and reduced capital expenditures.: Recommends types and number of vehicles needed to satisfactorily perform job with minimal expense. Computes leasing charges, based on such factors as length of contract, anticipated mileage, and applicable taxes. Prepares and sends leasing contract to leasing agency. Performs other tasks to increase sales, such as evaluating advertising campaigns or revising administrative procedures.
