Quality Assurance Chief Executive

Plans, develops, and implements policies and establishes objectives of all the organization's quality control functions in accordance with organization's objectives. Confers with organization officials to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, and to coordinate functions. Directs activities related to quality control including strategies, staffing, scheduling, coordinating, quality assurance standards, and planning. Ensures all areas of organization meet or exceed quality assurance standards. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Directs assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Oversees preparation and control of departmental annual budget. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. May plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up performance against estimates.

Chief Information Officer

Develops, leads, administers, and coordinates all phases of an organization's computer department, including systems design, programming, installation, and operation. Works with the CEO and Board of Directors, setting the short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the organization. Typically reports to the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operations Officer and has directors reporting to this position.: Identifies and communicates the strategic objectives and determines specific information requirements for management. Reviews and evaluates project feasibility studies based on management's requirements and priorities. Works with the CEO and Board of Directors to provide the framework for planning and communication. Achieves desired results through the use of budgets, proper contracts, and efficient decision making. Implements the installation and operation of information systems and equipment. Keeps current on new developments in information systems technology, and plans for future upgrades and organizational changes. Keeps abreast of government regulations applicable to systems operations and ensures corporate compliance. Manages several direct reports, often including department heads.

Chief Security Officer

Directs the planning and implementation of IT systems, business operation, and facility defenses against breech and vulnerability issues. Audits existing systems and directs the administration of security policies, activities, and standards. Leads and oversees all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of information in compliance with organization policies and standards. Plans, directs, trains, and manages the staff and operations of the Security Services Department.: Creates, documents, and implements security policies and procedures. Initiates activities to create information security awareness within the organization. Performs information security risk assessments and internal audits. Reviews all system-related security planning throughout the network and serves as a liaison to information systems and administration. Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager or data owner. Advises the organization with current information about information security technologies. Controls building access and oversees patrol and control room activities and monitoring of all security systems including alarm and CCTV operations. Coordinates disaster planning and response. Develops and administers departmental budget and establishes appropriate staffing levels. Provides direct training and oversight to all employees, contractors, or other third parties with information security clearance on the information security policies and procedures. Ensures that all security personnel are regularly evaluated. Serves as an internal Information Security Consultant to the organization.

Survey Party Chief

Plans, organizes, and directs work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying the Earth's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes. Assumes legal responsibility for work and is licensed by State.: Researches previous survey evidence, legal records, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. Develops new data from photogrammetric records. Determines methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control. Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Coordinates findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.

Production Supervisor Assistant

Assists supervisor in coordinating activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications. Assigns workers to workstations to meet production requirements. : Interprets process specifications for workers. Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary. Transports materials between production and storage areas. Repairs various machines, using hand tools and power tools. Refers extensive machine repairs to maintenance personnel. Confers with supervisor to receive instructions and exchange production information. Tests random samples of product, using various test equipment, to verify that products meet specifications. Periodically recalibrates test equipment. Trains workers in equipment operation. May perform duties of absent workers to maintain production.

Foreman Assistant

Assists foreman in coordinating activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications. Confers with supervisor or foreman to review schedules, specifications, and priorities to plan departmental work assignments. Assigns duties to workers and oversees department activities. : Revises work assignments as required by priorities and work availability. Explains and demonstrates procedures and techniques to workers. Interprets specifications and work orders for workers. Requisitions, obtains, and distributes supplies and materials. Assists workers in resolving problems and advises supervisor or foreman of complex problems. Reads, prepares, collects, and maintains reports, such as employee time and attendance records. May substitute for workers during worker absence or to relieve bottlenecks in work congested areas.

Technologist Chief

Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Consults and serves as a resource to physicians. Assigns workers to duties and oversees performance of tests in the fields of microbiology, chemistry, histology, hematology, immunohematology, and serology. : Purchases or directs purchase of laboratory equipment and supplies. Reviews test results to ensure quality control. Coordinates and conducts education and training programs for medical technology students and personnel.

Dental Assistant

Assists dentist during examination and treatment of patients. Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, and prepares materials. Takes and records medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient. : Exposes dental diagnostic x-rays. Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts. Pours, trims, and polishes study casts, fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations. Assists Dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies. Instructs patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist. Records treatment information in patient records. May apply protective coating of fluoride to teeth. May schedule appointments, prepare bills and receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain clerical records.

Medical Assistant

Assists in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. : Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment. Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests. Schedules appointments, receives money for bills, keeps x-ray and other medical records, performs secretarial tasks, and completes insurance forms. May key data into computer to maintain office and patient records. May keep billing records, enter financial transactions into bookkeeping ledgers, and compute and mail monthly statements to patients.

Physician Assistant

Provides health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal. Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection. This position requires a degree in health sciences.: Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care. Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. May have training in a particular medical specialty.
