Admissions Director (College or University)

Admissions Manager

Manages the daily operations of the admissions program at a private or public college or university and provides direct supervision to the admissions program team leads who are responsible for daily admissions activity. Reports to the Admissions Director or Dean of Admissions.: Organizes, administers, and supervises the work and procedures of the admissions program. Oversees the planning and implementation of recruiting programs. Assists in the development and updating of promotional resources/materials. Assists in the development of the college/university marketing plan. Guides targeted students through the exploration, application, orientation, and registration processes from the point of initial contact through to assignment to a Faculty Advisor. Assists in the development of the annual office and individual goals. Processes and accounts for spending of the admissions program's annual budget. Meets qualitative and quantitative enrollment goals for the assigned application targets. Monitors admissions expenditure in liaison with the Finance Department. Analyses admissions data and produces conversion and comparison reports. Evaluates and implements admissions process improvements by measuring performance against admissions goals. Assists in the development of policies and procedures for admissions as required. Performs daily tracking of processed forms and interactions to ensure the correct routing of data. Monitors, tracks, and manages admissions leads using tracking system guidelines. Oversees assigned personnel, including work allocation, training, performance evaluations, recommendations for personnel actions, and problem resolution. May report on press coverage and maximize coverage with local and regional media.

Supervisor Hospital Admissions

Supervises, coordinates, and participates in daily activities of the registration staff in pre-admission, registration of inpatients and outpatients in hospital or other medical facility, insurance verification, reception, cashiering, and preparation of required records. Supervises employees who interview patient or patient's representative to obtain necessary personal, financial, and insurance data and to determine eligibility for admission. Depending on size of medical unit, may report to Manager, Head, or Director.: Confers with physicians, nursing, housekeeping, transport, and other staff members to coordinate and schedule admission of patients. Assigns accommodations based on physician's admittance orders, patient's preference, nature of illness, availability of space, and other information. Prepares records of admission, transfer, and other required data. Notifies appropriate departments of patient's admission. Reviews work of interviewers and other clerical personnel. Compiles and keeps records of admissions and discharges, and compiles occupancy-census data. Trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Recruiter Nurse

Responsible for coordinating the staffing and recruitment functions of nursing areas to include internal and external activities.: Discusses long range nursing needs with management to prepare and implement a recruitment program. Contacts colleges and participates in job fairs to find nursing candidates. Provides information on organization facilities and nursing job opportunities to potential applicants. Interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements. Verifies nursing licensure. Screens and refers qualified applicants to nursing management for follow-up interview. Develops, implements and monitors nursing retention programs. Arranges travel and lodging for selected applicants at organization expense. Performs reference and background checks on applicants. Corresponds with nursing job applicants to notify them of employment consideration. Files and maintains employment records for future references. Projects yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary control. Coordinates the internal job posting program for nursing positions. Conducts exit interviews and maintains turnover data. This position typically requires a Batchelor’s degree in nursing and a registered nurse license.

Physician Recruiter

Responsible for coordination of the physician recruitment effort. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and physician recruiting experience.: Responsible for coordination of the physician recruitment effort. Advertises and promotes the organization to attract physician candidates. Identifies, develops and maintains recruitment sources and relationships. Coordinates travel arrangements and client orientation for physician candidates. Maintains current knowledge of national and regional compensation trends for various physician specialties. Contacts and screens potential candidates, conducts reference checks, and schedules interviews. Facilitates the interview process by monitoring and coordinating multiple interviews and promotional meetings with the physician candidate. Presents approved offers and employment agreements to physician candidates. Acts as a facilitator to physicians in the credentialing process for hospitals and group practices. This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and physician recruiting experience.

Executive Recruiter

Interviews job applicants with executive skills to select people meeting employer qualifications. Reviews employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants. Records additional knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, test results, and other data pertinent to selection and referral of applicants. Reviews job orders and matches applicants with job requirements, utilizing manual or computerized file search. : Informs applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, organization and union policies, promotional opportunities, and other related information. May contact employers in writing, in person, or by telephone to solicit orders for job vacancies for clientele or for specified applicants and record information about job openings on job order forms to describe duties, hiring requirements, and related data.

Professional Recruiter
