Administrative Engineering Director

Directs administrative engineering staff, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Organizes and coordinates various sections of engineering. Directs planning and establishing of engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates. Typically reports to Engineering Top Officer and Administrative Engineering Manager reports to this position.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Administrative Director

Directs, organizes, and arranges administrative functions for the organization. Oversees multifunctional support responsibilities such as, but not limited to, administrative functions, data and telecommunications, facilities management, human resources services, insurance, office services, purchasing, security, mail and messenger services, office clerical and support services, printing, and cafeteria services, etc. Works with organization officials to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, and to coordinate functions. Assists in the creation of short- and long-term strategic plans for the department, identifying resources and opportunities for department growth and improvement. Oversees the administrative managers or supervisors.: Provides support and assistance to other functions and operating units of the organization. Interprets company policy for employees and enforces company policy and practices. Assures the staffing, supervision, and direction of the administrative staff. Assists in the creation and maintenance of administrative personnel business relationships, acting as a representative of the department to internal and external persons, and seeks to cultivate opportunities for business collaboration. Ensures employment compliance with all governmental regulations personnel and records maintenance. Directs budgetary process support staff, oversees the department budget, and prepares the budget for the department or division. Monitors the revenue and expenses associated with the department, ensuring budgetary compliance and that periodic reporting requirements are met.

Chief Administrative Officer

Plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of functions in accordance with objectives of organization. Has multifunctional support responsibilities such as, but not limited to, administrative functions, data communications, facilities management, human resources services, insurance, office services, purchasing, security, etc. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer level, and director-level personnel report to this position.: Confers with organization officials to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies and to coordinate functions. Provides support and assistance to other functions and operating units of the organization. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Develops human resource management policy and programs that contribute to the acquisition, retention, motivation, and development of company employees capable of meeting current and future organizational needs and objectives. Provides physical working environment that provides a positive, productive climate for operations through maintenance, planning, and general building services. Ensures efficiency of internal non-electronic data processing (EDP) management systems through improved organizational structure, continued surveillance, work methods programs, and establishing performance standards. Provides non-EDP equipment and supplies that effectively meet operational requirements with a minimum expenditure. Counsels management on strategic planning and organization design processes, combined with recommendations and insights that contribute to overall plan strategic management and corporate direction. May guide the company's formal strategic planning effort. May provide general legal counsel to management, with a minimum use of external counsel.

Administrative Engineering Manager

Manages administrative engineering staff, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Organizes and coordinates various sections of engineering. Plans and establishes engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates. First level supervisors typically report to this position.: Manages assembly of cost control and statistical data and the development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures and objectives regarding processes, initiatives and projects. Prepares and controls departmental annual budget. Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.

Highway Administrative Engineer

Administers statewide highway planning, design, construction, and maintenance programs: coordinates activities of state highway engineering agencies. Reviews highway and bridge plans, location, contracts, and cost estimates for technical and legal accuracy, and approves acceptable proposals or makes corrective recommendations. Directs workers in research activities related to highway planning and engineering, and formulates highway engineering policies and procedures. Directs preparation of state agency budgets. Directs workers in preparation of reports to state and federal government officials and represents state highway commissioner at hearings with public officials, contractors, and engineering personnel. Speaks before civic groups and public gatherings to disseminate highway planning information and to solicit public support.

Supervisor Administrative Engineering

Supervises the administrative engineering staff, participating in scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Organizes and coordinates various sections of engineering. Assists in planning and establishing engineering schedules and following up performance against estimates. This position typically reports to a manager and is the first level of supervision in the organization.: Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Supervises assembly of cost control and statistical data. Supervises development of material selection standards. Approves process specification and design standards. Assists in preparation and control of departmental annual budget. Assists in administration of personnel functions including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.

Administrative Engineering Supervisor

Administrative Assistant Special Education

Directs and coordinates special education programs in public school systems, public agencies, and state institutions to teach students with mental or physical disabilities: formulates policies and procedures for new or revised programs or activities, such as screening, placement, education, and training of students. Evaluates special education programs to ensure that objectives for student education are met. Interprets laws, rules, and regulations to students, parents, and staff. Recruits, selects, and evaluates staff. Prepares budget and solicits funds to provide financial support for programs. Prepares reports for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. May contract with agencies for needed services, such as residential care. May administer achievement tests to measure student level of performance.

Assistant Administrative

Assists executive in staff capacity by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control, and special management studies. Studies management methods in order to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions. Analyzes unit operating practices, such as record keeping systems, forms control, office layout, suggestion systems, personnel and budgetary requirements, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures. Requires an associate's degree in appropriate field plus job experience including supervision. NOTE: This is not a secretarial position.: Analyzes jobs to delimit position responsibilities for use in wage-and-salary adjustments, promotions, and evaluation of workflow. Studies methods of improving work measurements or performance standards. Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time-and-attendance records, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures, and statistical records of performance data. Prepares reports including conclusions and recommendations for solution of administrative problems. Drafts narrative, financial, and statistical reports. Compiles data based on research techniques and on statistical compilations involving an understanding of operating programs, policies, and procedures. Issues and interprets operating policies. Reviews and answers correspondence.

Secretary Administrative

Maintains official corporation records and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials. Prepares memorandums outlining and explaining administrative procedures and policies to supervisory workers. Schedules conferences, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for senior staff. Directs preparation of records, such as notices, minutes, and resolutions for stockholders' and directors' meetings. Typically requires a four-year college degree; however, some companies may accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Directs recording of company stock issues and transfers. Acts as custodian of corporate documents and records. Directs preparation and filing of corporate legal documents with government agencies to conform with statutes. In small organizations, such as trade, civic, or welfare associations, often performs publicity work. Depending on organization, works in line or staff capacity.
