Account Clerk

Assists in the application of principles of accounting and, with experience, may handle complex tasks. Requires knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations to compile and keep financial records. Often involves use of computers to maintain financial records and to complete accounting reports. Examines and analyzes accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports. This position may exist in any of the accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, collections, budgets, financial planning, general accounting, billing, etc. Includes such activities as keeping and verifying records of transactions; receiving and disbursing money; computing and verifying amounts; preparing records; combining data and performing computations to create statistical records; and computing costs, verifying bills, invoices, rates, tariff, duties, and amounts due. This is a paraprofessional level position and does not require a four-year degree in accounting. May have lead responsibilities over lower level accounting personnel.: Audits records and prepares bills. May make computations for payroll and timekeeping records, compute earnings, and prepare duty rosters and work schedules. Work may involve analyzing past and present financial operations and future estimates. May analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. May assist in the maintenance of budgeting systems that provide control of expenditures made to carry out activities, such as advertising and marketing, production and labor, maintenance, or project activities, such as construction of buildings.

Account Leader

Sell or solicit advertising, including graphic art, advertising space in publications, custom made signs, or TV and radio advertising time. May obtain leases for outdoor advertising sites or persuade retailer to use sales promotion display items.

Account Analyst

Collects, analyzes, and reconciles sales or receivable balances for existing customer base, identifying, validating, or collecting client or customer deductions, driving the balance through to resolution. Compiles documents to prepare accounts for resolution. Audits and analyzes documents to validate billing or sales history, identifies necessary billing adjustments, and completes paperwork to support these changes. Initiates telephone contact and maintains proper follow up with assigned customers, if necessary. Identifies problem/credit risk customers and initiates timely escalation for possible legal review.: Establishes and maintains positive interactions with internal departments to resolve customer disputes in a timely manner. Provides timely and accurate accounts receivable reporting for aging balances. Identifies and initiates resolution of unapplied and misapplied cash. Compiles, processes, and analyzes data related to the sales and marketing of products. Establishes and maintains databases for promotions, price changes, cost changes, item maintenance, and other information regarding sales and marketing activities. Analyzes sales data to identify product movement activity. Assists in providing timely and accurate reporting of revenue and subscriber or customer information. Consolidates and analyzes all revenue and distributes accurate reporting to assist in forecasting and budgeting. Works with necessary personnel to assure attainment of organization objectives. Requests and obtains required documentation to assist with analysis. Prepares required reports, such as payment verification reports, needed back-up reports, top accounts reports, reports of promises, and recommended adjustment reports. Documents all activity. Reviews monthly projections, advises if obtainable, and provides any issues with assigned clients or customers. Develops and maintains exceptional business relationships with both external and internal customers. Assures that payment verifications and all activity impacting month-end reports and billing are processed timely and accurately. Conducts statistical analysis and applies principles of accounting to analyze past and present financial operations and estimates future revenues and expenditures. Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. Advises management regarding matters, such as effective use of resources and return on investments scenarios. Identifies and develops added-value reports that would assist in developing solutions to maximize revenue. May develop, install, and maintain accounting systems that provide control of investments, receivables, and expenditures. May take a leadership role on task forces and committees designed to improve business processes.

Account Planner

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Account Manager

Manages the service or sale of certain accounts, with duties entailing estimating and analyzing records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. Typically reports to a director and may have supervisors reporting to this position.: Finds and contacts potential new customers. Keeps in contact with clients, answers their questions, and deals with complaints. Predicts future market trends and develops new sales ideas. Interprets accounts and records to management. May be responsible for sales budget. May attend trade shows and conferences.

Account Handler

Direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.

Account Auditor

Identifies, bids on, negotiates, and closes new sales opportunities in the desired market. Seeks new business relationships as well as expands existing account relationships. Learns new technologies quickly and adapts to changes in product, pricing, and implementation processes. Identifies new sales opportunities in designated target market. Proposes and negotiates solutions to secure new sales for the organization's Sales Department. Develops and manages client relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, attains additional business, and keeps the competition at bay. Develops and implements actions to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall business. Teams with technical, engineering, customer service, and related support staffs to ensure end-to-end customer sales and satisfaction and thereby drives new revenue growth from satisfied customers. Helps developers/designers where needed. Keeps current on client organization's technology and industry and shares knowledge with department, company, and clients. Develops relationships with external resource providers and client prospects. Manages the complete web development production life cycle for projects ranging from small web sites to complex large web sites. Identifies key deliverables, creates timelines and assigns responsibilities. Schedules and leads project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants. Manages project resources, including assets from client and internal documents. Communicates availability of resources clearly to all members of the team. Tracks and reports on progress of project against project critical path. Continues to train and develop knowledge of new technologies.

Account Adjuster
