Collaborates with internal teams and clients to determine strategy as it relates to product, brand, marketing, content, and overall user experience. Creates conceptual diagrams, site maps, interaction flows, and wireframe layouts for rich Internet applications, websites, and other interactive media. Collaborates with visual designers, technical developers, and project managers on client engagements. Leads and/or participates in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing. Develops prototypes collaboratively for demonstration of concepts to clients. Conducts competitive audits and market research. Develops and documents detailed user experience specifications for highly interactive interfaces.

Web Architect

Designs information architecture and user interface for websites and web applications. Documents the scope and functional flow of websites and applications. : Analyzes, develops, enhances, codes, tests, documents, and implements system modifications. Performs component and framework specification and design. Leads the development and implementation of Internet and intranet applications on one or more platforms. Leads efforts to improve performance and stability of current platforms. Manages full life cycle website development, including acquiring and writing specifications, configuring web server (when required), maintaining website DNS records, maintaining website development schedule, coding, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Maintains shopping cart, including security, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting. Provides system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policies and standards. Ensures best practices in coding. Researches and tracks new web technologies. Advises management of issues pertaining to website development or implementation. Trains other team members as needed.

CRM Application Architect

Implements CRM-related technology, business processes, and service. Assists in the development and implementation of CRM capabilities through the definition of business processes and requirements, application development, testing, training, change management, and communications. : Performs customer database and contact management, sales force automation, service, and marketing automation.

Network Architect

Analyzes and controls the technical architecture of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. Researches, tests, evaluates, and recommends telecommunications and data network systems. Analyzes workload, including traffic and utilization trends. Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate type of hardware installation. Supports complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization. Requires advanced knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware and software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent, and certification in networks.: Identifies areas of operation that need upgraded equipment, such as modems, fiber optic cables, and telephone wires. Conducts survey to determine user needs. Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment that meets establishment requirements. Visits vendors to learn about available products or services. Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system, using equipment such as computer terminal and modem. Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software for purchase. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software. Monitors system performance. Instructs users in use of equipment, and assists users to identify and solve data communication problems. May design and develop complex software interface programs. May write technical specifications to send to vendors for bid. May oversee or assist in installation of communications hardware. May perform minor equipment repairs.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and three years of database experience; however, some organizations will accept equivalent education and experience combined.: Performs systems analysis on database, and resolves performance, capacity, and replication issues as necessary. Provides detailed design and specification documentation, including flowcharts, for all aspects of the database. Develops, in conjunction with database analysts, methodologies, report views, queries, and table replications, and ensures that all the data is in the proper format. Participates in the identification, prioritization, and development of technical initiatives and strategies. Develops and maintains database standards and naming conventions. Keeps up-to-date on emerging database architectures, technologies, and methodologies, and attends training classes as necessary. Possesses extensive knowledge of one or more database systems, and is capable of working in all phases of database design and management.

Landscape Architect

Plans and designs development of land areas for projects, such as parks and other recreational facilities, airports, highways and parkways, hospitals, schools, land subdivisions, and commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Landscape architects are typically required to be licensed or registered. Licensing is based on the Landscape Architect Registration Examination sponsored by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards. : Confers with clients, engineering personnel, and architects on overall program. Compiles and analyzes data on such site conditions as geographic location; soil, vegetation, and rock features; drainage; and location of structures for preparation of environmental impact report and development of landscaping plans. Prepares site plans, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for land development, showing ground contours, vegetation, locations of structures, and such facilities as roads, walks, parking areas, fences, walls, and utilities, coordinating arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures. Visits and analyzes the site during the planning stage site to verify design can be incorporated into the landscape and spends additional time at the site observing or supervising the construction. Inspects construction work in progress to ensure compliance with landscape specifications, to approve quality of materials and work, and to advise client and construction personnel on landscape features. May use computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and plans.

Marine Architect

Designs and oversees construction and repair of marine craft and floating structures, such as ships, barges, tugs, dredges, submarines, torpedoes, floats, and buoys. Studies design proposals and specifications to establish basic characteristics of craft, such as size, weight, speed, propulsion, armament, cargo, displacement, draft, crew and passenger complements, and fresh or salt water service. Excludes supervisory positions.: Oversees construction and testing of prototype in model basin and develops sectional and waterline curves of hull to establish center of gravity, ideal hull form, and buoyancy and stability data. Designs complete hull and superstructure according to specifications and test data, in conformity with standards of safety, efficiency, and economy. Designs layout of craft interior including cargo space, passenger compartments, ladder wells, and elevators. Confers with Marine Engineers to establish arrangement of boiler room equipment and propulsion machinery, heating and ventilating systems, refrigeration equipment, piping, and other functional equipment. Evaluates performance of craft during dock and sea trials to determine design changes and conformance with national and international standards. May use computer-assisted design software to prepare project designs and plans.
