Directs, plans, and coordinates the organization's medical activities such as diagnosing and treating work-related illnesses and injuries of employees, and conducting fitness-for-duty physical examinations. Develops and recommends medical and health policies.: Attends patients in plant or hospital, and reexamines disability cases periodically to verify progress. Aircraft Jet Copilot

Pilots, as second in command, jet aircraft and crew of jet airplane to transport passengers, mail, or freight, or for other commercial purposes. Requires a combination of over four years of directly related training and experience. Must hold current Commercial Pilot's Certificate with necessary type of ratings issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.: Reviews ship's papers to ascertain factors, such as load weight, fuel supply, weather conditions, and flight route and schedule. Orders changes in fuel supply, load, route, or schedule to ensure safety of flight. Reads gauges to verify that oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel quantities, and cabin pressure are at prescribed levels prior to starting engines. Starts engines and taxies airplane to runway. Sets brakes, and accelerates engines to verify operational readiness of components and controls. Contacts control tower by radio to obtain takeoff clearance and instructions. Releases brakes and moves throttles and hand and foot controls to take off and control airplane in flight. Pilots airplane to destination adhering to flight plan and regulations and procedures of Federal Government, company, and airport. Logs information, such as time in flight, altitude flown, and fuel consumed. A year of experience averages 900 hours of flight time for most copilots.

Trucking Company General Manager

Directs and coordinates the operations and activities of a trucking company involved in transporting finished goods and raw materials over land, typically from manufacturing plants to retail or distribution centers. Formulates policies, programs, and procedures for transportation system, including schedules, rates, routes, allocation and assignment of company drivers and vehicles, selection and use of contract drivers, and other company operations. Maintenance Person Aircraft

Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness. : Repairs, replaces, and assembles parts, such as wings, fuselage, tail assembly, landing gear, control cables, propeller assembly, and fuel and oil tanks, using tools, such as power shears, sheet metal breaker, arc and acetylene welding equipment, rivet gun, and air or electric drills to rebuild or replace airframe or its components. Consults manufacturers' manuals and airline's maintenance manual for specifications and to determine feasibility of repair or replacement according to malfunction. Examines engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks and listens to detect sounds of malfunctioning, such as sticking or burnt valves. Inspects turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks. Tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, and ammeter to locate source of malfunction. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, superchargers, and magnetos, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Removes engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Adjusts and repairs electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories and instruments. Inspects, services, and repairs pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.

Removes engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. May service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. May service and repair aircraft and engines prior to, during, or after flight to ensure airworthiness, working on flight line of aircraft manufacturing facility.

Mechanic Jet Aircraft

Inspects, tests, and adjusts jet and prop jet driven airplanes during and between test flights, following specifications. : Opens engine throttle to full power and examines power plant to detect excess vibration and leaks in engine parts, such as tubing connections and carburetors. Observes instruments to determine that factors, such as fuel and oil pressures, acceleration, and temperatures, meet specifications. Performs functional test of systems, such as landing gear and doors, rigging and controls, fuel, heating, ventilating, and pressurization, for conformance to specifications. Calibrates compasses and other directional equipment. Accompanies airplane on test and acceptance flights to make in-flight adjustments to controls. Records in log, during flights, work to be performed in shop or field to prepare airplane for delivery. Replaces malfunctioning parts, using hand tools, portable power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
