Sells company products or services in assigned area or territory. The Sales Representative (General) level is distinguished by products or services that do not require scientific training or knowledge and success is more dependent on sales ability.: Develops new accounts. Communicates directly with new and existing customers or clients to explain features and merits of products or services offered. Demonstrates products or services and provides assistance in the best application of products or services. Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate referrals where required. Closes transactions and takes orders. Submits time and expense reports to management. Investigates product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies. Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management. Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. Calculates and quotes prices. May coordinate company technical engineering support and services to ascertain customers' needs.

Directs activities, either directly or through subordinates, concerned with sales of products or services of a highly complex nature. Plans, develops, establishes, and implements policies, procedures, and objectives of technical sales function in accordance with objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan technical sales objectives, to develop sales policies, and to coordinate functions. Develops and maintains accounts and responds to bids and proposals. Targets and develops clients through existing database and contacts, advertising resources, and the Internet. Meets with clients to evaluate their technical needs and to recommend and provide consulting solutions.: Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy. Evaluates the market position of competing technical products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Forecasts semi-annual and annual sales projections. Directs preparation of required reports. Interprets and enforces company policy and practices. Ensures the adequacy of sales training programs. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Sells new wireless products and services. Assists new and existing customers with the purchase of wireless equipment and services. Presents products and services to prospective customers through demonstrations and development of wireless communications solutions.: Prospects and generates new sales opportunities. Conducts all required processes and procedures to implement new service upon completion of sale. Initiates follow-up contact with customers to ensure complete satisfaction with all products and services purchased. Participates in the development and execution of promotional activities. Responds to customer inquiries, needs, and/or problems, which may include account research, explanation of equipment operation, and execution of warranty claims. Stays current with changes and developments in the wireless industry.

Sells office machines, such as computers, calculating, and duplicating machines, to business establishments.: Performs duties as sales representative. May instruct employees or purchasers in use of machine. May make machine adjustments. May sell office supplies, such as paper, ribbons, ink, and tapes. May rent or lease office machines.

Communicates with others, composing replies to correspondence and emails concerning such items as requests for merchandise, damage claims, credit information, delinquent accounts, incorrect billing, unsatisfactory service, or to request information. Compiles data pertinent to products or services for customers. Job know-how usually involves one to two years of directly related study, training, and/or experience.: Reads correspondence from customers to determine needs of customer. Reads incoming correspondence and gathers data to formulate reply. Determines if needs of customer are met by standard products or service. May confer with others to ascertain feasibility of designing special product or service. May confer with others to obtain estimate of time involved. Corresponds with customer to inform of progress and costs. May make estimates and prepare quotations/proposals.

Sells electromechanical, electrical, electronic equipment, and supplies or services requiring knowledge of engineering and cost effectiveness. Calls on client representatives, in attempt to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.: Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client's use of proposed equipment or services. Calls on management representatives, such as engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments in attempt to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered. Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services that would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations. Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment. May draw up sales or service contract for products or services. May provide technical training to employees of client. May lead or direct lower level personnel.

Sells aeronautical products and provides customers with technical engineering services requiring knowledge of engineering and cost effectiveness. Calls on potential customer representatives, such as engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments in attempt to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered. Excludes supervisory positions.: Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client's use of proposed equipment or services. Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services, which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations. Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment. May draw up sales or service contract for products or services. May provide technical training to employees of client.

Analyzes technical requirements of customer desiring to utilize electronic equipment, and performs installation and maintenance duties. Determines feasibility of using standardized equipment, and develops specifications for equipment required to perform additional functions. Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment.

Aids driver, sales route in providing sales, services, or deliveries of goods to customers over an established route, performing any combination of the following duties: loads and unloads truck at beginning and end of trip. Carries merchandise from truck to customer's home or store. Collects c.o.d. Payments or obtains receipts. May drive to relieve driver. May solicit new business.

Directs activities of multiple professional services units of a hospital. Organizational units may include but are not limited to three or more of the following professional areas: clinical divisions, pharmacy, social services, diagnostic imaging, laboratories, etc. Typically reports directly to the Hospital Administrator.: Coordinates activities with those of other hospital departments. Establishes policies and procedures in cooperation with other hospital officials. Interprets and administers personnel policies and provides for training program. Reviews activities and recommends changes in, or better utilization of, facilities, services, and staff. Establishes and maintains work schedules and assignments of resident professional staff members. Authorizes purchase of supplies and equipment. Prepares and submits budget, records, reports, and statistical data.
