Directs activities, either directly or through subordinates, concerned with sales of products or services of a highly complex nature. Plans, develops, establishes, and implements policies, procedures, and objectives of technical sales function in accordance with objectives of organization. Confers with organization officials to plan technical sales objectives, to develop sales policies, and to coordinate functions. Develops and maintains accounts and responds to bids and proposals. Targets and develops clients through existing database and contacts, advertising resources, and the Internet. Meets with clients to evaluate their technical needs and to recommend and provide consulting solutions.: Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy. Evaluates the market position of competing technical products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques. Devises sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume. Forecasts semi-annual and annual sales projections. Directs preparation of required reports. Interprets and enforces company policy and practices. Ensures the adequacy of sales training programs. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Sells new wireless products and services. Assists new and existing customers with the purchase of wireless equipment and services. Presents products and services to prospective customers through demonstrations and development of wireless communications solutions.: Prospects and generates new sales opportunities. Conducts all required processes and procedures to implement new service upon completion of sale. Initiates follow-up contact with customers to ensure complete satisfaction with all products and services purchased. Participates in the development and execution of promotional activities. Responds to customer inquiries, needs, and/or problems, which may include account research, explanation of equipment operation, and execution of warranty claims. Stays current with changes and developments in the wireless industry.

Manages the development, deployment, support, and maintenance of all in-store information systems and processes, including, but not limited to, point of sale, credit cards, compliance, labor management, labor scheduling, accounting, security, and training.: Coordinates and manages all system-wide configuration changes and maintenance, such as pricing, taxing, labor rules, job codes, etc. Develops and coordinates solutions to support product development and marketing initiatives. Serves as the primary contact for store system escalation and ensures vendor service level agreements are consistently being achieved. Evaluates break/fix cases, performs root cause and trend analyses, and recommends improvements to store system performance. Serves as the liaison between store operations and store technology solution providers. Collaborates with end users to evaluate, analyze, measure, and gather store system needs. Leads, negotiates, documents, and drives internal and vendor product development requirements and schedules. Evaluates, recommends, deploys, and supports business applications to enable store operations to improve efficiency, productivity, profitability, guest experience, and business intelligence. Monitors legal, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements impacting store systems and translates them into functional requirements. Develops, documents, communicates, and maintains store system failure procedures and contingency plans. Collaborates with the training team to develop and maintain all other operation manuals related to store systems. Ensures existing and proposed store systems are aligned with overall IS architecture and organizational goals.

Manages daily operations of a retail automotive store engaged in selling automotive parts, supplies, repair, and services. Formulates pricing policies to ensure profitability of store operations. Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares or supervises preparation of merchandise displays and advertising copy.: Performs and/or supervises employees engaged in controlling inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily records of transactions. Ensures total customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish inventory on hand. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices. Assumes responsibility for controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, and loss prevention. Selects, coaches, and develops store associates and maintains employee relations.

Performs and/or supervises employees engaged in taking of and controlling inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily records of transactions. Directs and coordinates, through subordinate managerial personnel, activities of department store selling lines of merchandise in specialized departments: formulates pricing policies for sale of merchandise, or implements policies set forth by merchandising board. Coordinates activities of nonmerchandising departments, as purchasing, credit, accounting, and advertising with merchandising departments to obtain optimum efficiency of operations with minimum costs in order to maximize profits. Develops and implements, through subordinate managerial personnel, policies and procedures for store and departmental operations and customer personnel and community relations. Negotiates or approves contracts negotiated with suppliers of merchandise, or with other establishments providing security, maintenance, or cleaning services. Reviews operating and financial statements and departmental sales records to determine merchandising activities that require additional sales promotion, clearance sales, or other sales procedures in order to turn over merchandise and achieve profitability of store operations and merchandising objectives.

Manages the overall operation and development of the point of sale (POS) system.: Performs business analyses for new point of sale (POS) system enhancements or the resolution of existing defects. Develops business and functional specifications specifically for POS application changes. Assesses risks, escalates issues, and manages issues databases. Monitors and reports on Point of Sale system operations. Identifies POS system problems and ensures appropriate resolutions. Interfaces with end users in the resolution of incidents and initiates process improvements. Submits reports regarding status, progress, end-user issues, and proposed solutions as required. May assist in the development of marketing initiatives related to the POS system. May develop procedure documentation and training materials.

Manages, plans, leads, organizes, controls, and coordinates the sales activities of an insurance company, agency, or insurance brokerage firm. Hires, trains, and supervises insurance sales staff. Establishes sales goals and plans to assure that each agent contributes to the overall organization objectives. Ensures that all systems, procedures, and insurance company regulations are communicated to and complied with by all personnel in the production department.: Develops and maintains a comprehensive sales training program to assure meeting the agency standards of performance. Conducts periodic reviews for organization employees to assure attainment of goals and proper compensation arrangements. Reviews all activities relating to the public, customers, and organizations to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions. Maintains an active and effective role in evaluating and choosing the right companies for the agency. Reviews activity reports to ensure that personnel have achieved sales quotas, processed claims promptly, or credited collections to policyholders' accounts. Confers with company officials to plan and develop methods and procedures to increase sales, lower costs, and obtain greater efficiency. Interprets, implements, and enforces company policies. Prepares and submits activity reports. Develops a sales budget to insure conformance to organization sales goals and objectives. May reconcile earned commissions with commission advances on sales personnel.
